So basically im going to start a small grow room in my closet.

i have aprox 14" of space vertically and 3 feet horizontally. The room has electricity and heat, so thats not an issue

The main issue is the lack of vertical space, im aware this could only handle a couple of plants if at all.

im new to growing so im wondering what i would need to set this up if it could work at all. I was figuring i would need to use a tress system to coax it to grow horizontally, like one would use to force a plant to grow vertically on a fence or such.

gonna run to the home depot in the next couple of days, wondering what i should pick up.

what kind of light/lamp?
what kind of reflective material to keep the light it (tin foil?)?
what kind of tresses and how would i make them?
what kind of plants would be most suited to the space?
what i should use to cover up the smell (im thinking some coffee, but my room reeks to begin with so its less about smelling at all than it is about it being overpowering)?

what kind of light/lamp?
CFL's. 6500k for veg, (a bluish light) 2400k for flower. (a yellowish light) The more the merrier. Here's how my veg lights looked. (outdoor security lights ($8.00 each) screwed to a board) You can also get one of those 'Y' socket adapters to double-up on lamps. (so you can run two lights from each socket)

what kind of reflective material to keep the light it (tin foil?)? Flat white paint.

what kind of tresses and how would i make them? Bamboo stakes and a spool of that gardening twist-tie wire.

what kind of plants would be most suited to the space? Indica's are generally 'squatter' than sativa's, and to me...easier to grow.

There's do it yourself odor control set-up's somewhere around here. Should be able to find it using the search function.
