I'm confused on making my drip setup, I need it done by the end of the week, as my clones are out growing the bubble cloner with a 2gal res.

I have the tubing, with the drippers on the end. I have 3.75in net pots, hydroton, and ebb and flow tables that i plan on using for the drip setup. I guess i'll need to make a top for the ebb and flow to place the net pots in and seal them from light.

My big question is, can i run the drippers 24/7? or do i really need a timer? Is there one at lowes or HD that will work good?

I know i want my ph at 5.8 but my clones are currently at 6.8 Should i bring them down .2 every day until the water is at 5.8? or can i directly place them into 5.8 ph?

Will the water get oxygenated from the drip or do i need an air pump? my 70l/per min air pump is running full blast in the 2gal cloner and i could probably split the air stones 50/50 btw the reservoirs.

Thanks in advance, any help will be great appreciated! :stoned:

Forgot to mention my water pump flows roughly 300gal/min. I could just as easily scrap the drippers and just run the ebb and flow. If the 3.75in net pots are big enough for that.

Problem is they won't be supported in an ebb and flow. Much bigger pots or those 8x8 rockwool cube. Those net pots will grow you about a 3 foot fair plant.

Yes either make a top and cut 3 1/2 inch holes in it or Get some 10 to 20 gallon plastic storage tubs, dark so no light. Your like using the tray for a rez with a top. Now it's like your bubbler with drip. Get a timer, 15 minutes every 2 to 4 hours. You need the bubbles. You don't need fancy timers. You can leave drip running all the time but your not drip to waste so drip back to rez. If you leave it 24/7 you would have problems with rot around the top of the net pot in the air roots. Not pretty.

Bring the PH down .5 a day and keep rez temps down to 70 degrees if you can.

Hurry up dude clones are waiting. lol

Thanks for the help. I'm pretty much decided on cutting wholes in the ebb and flow tray for the net pots, using the drain hole to drain and the flood hole for drip system. Put mylar down with just holes cut for the stems. I hate to keep my clones under the flourescents so this is going to be made tomorrow, fully functional, and two clones will start their journey in there under the sun(600w hps). I'm also going to build a carbon filter tomorrow, hopefully. haha lots of shit to do, thats for sure. My main question now is, what ph should my clones be at? some don't have roots yet, and i'm thinking 5.8 is too acidic for them.

seems to me that 5.8 is the perfect hydro ph...if you put an airstone in teh water you can run the drip 24/7 just like a dwc where the roots are in water all the time the roots dont need to breath air if there is a ton of air in the water. the water will get oxygenated from driping thru the air, but if your gonna run 24/7 i would put an airstone in for good measure. same thing with ebb and flow, you can run it all the time if there is enough air in teh water.
