LOL.. lola, lola..

As for the original post... well, i know how it is when your questions don't get answered right away... But I've found the search function to be extremely helpful for those occasions.

Although I've only been a member for a month or so I've already started to realize that there is a pretty good chance (let me do the calculations here...) that there is a 94.33% chance that someone, somewhere, at some time has already asked, and gotten a response to the same exact question I have had.

That being said, your lights should be fine for 2 - 4 plants.. the real questions is: What medium are you going to use for growing? In a small space like that, i doubt you are going to go with ebb and flow.. so lets check that one off the list.

Next would be DWC. I find this useful in small spaces, and they can easily handle 2-4 plants in an 18 gal res. The downside to DWC is monitoring water temp, PPH and pH. You want to make sure you have enough air in the tank. And if you dont construct a drip feed, you may have to watch the moisture of the rockwool cubes and manually water them until the roots enter the water..

Next soil... I dont have much experience with soil and cannabis, normally i only grow fruits and veggies in soil. But you can't skimp just because its soil either... Don't just get the cheapest potting soil you can find at walmart because of bacteria and other nasties that can be mixed right in with it. Personally I HATE the word(s) Miracle-Grow... but the choice is yours..

Ventilation:
Do you have any? Do you want any? Do you need any?

Water:
Are you going to use tap water, distilled, reverse osmosis, city water?

Nutes:
Any idea's what you want to use? Can you get nutes locally?

Temp:
*See ventilation

Power Consumption:
Worried about that spinning wheel in the back of the house? Are you growing in a closet? Are you going to be running all this off extension cords?

You asked a pretty general question without providing any real information...
IMO THATS why you haven't gotten any responses.. I've found that very specific questions tend to get very specific answers..

Hope this helps.... MA

What kinda lite have you got? Sounds pretty good so far to me... Lots of people here hate mg soil, I got a lot and now don't know if I should use it or not. Glad to hear u did good. Last time I used MG soil, I use that bloom fert and shit went bad after that. Be careful. I fried some that way.

when using a pre-fertilized soil, such as the Miracle-Grow, etc., you just have to remember, your plants shouldn't need more ferts added until flowering, if at all ... that's really the problem with it, as it limits your ability to 'fine-tune' nutes for a particular period in the plant's growth ... (hard to cut back nitrogen during flowering, for example, since it's already 'there' in the soil) ... if you used just the MG soil, without added nutes, you would 'likely' have healthy plants, but not likely to achieve their potential ... the absolute BEST plants I have ever seen, are grown outdoors annually, in an earthworm-casting rich, composted soil, adding nothing but MiracleGro fertilizer, once weekly ... (I would post pics, but have promised not to) ... one word: MONSTERS, with not one single, yellow or pale leaf, NO burning, etc. ... Miracle-Grow isn't a bad product, it's just usually mis-used ... :smokin:

if i were you instead of using mh to veg and hps to flower unless financial hardship ect,, i would get the new mh eye hortilux blue!its got both mh and hps in it but more potent of each spectrums intensity by 17 to 24 percent above the standard of each rapped in one lamp so you can veg and flower in one lamp, its got more red and yellow than normal hps and more blue than standard mh ect,, we just bought one 400 w new ballast mh and hps combo hydrofarm setup with this eye hortilux blue mh one lamp and your plants will disregard the specrtum they dont need during veg or flower,im telling ya this lamp spectrum wise nothing touches it,i could go standard mh and hps but this is alot better look at the spectrum chart for this lamp you will be impressed, in one week weve got at least a foot of growth easy and no streching without alot of folage to follow it this lamp runs
$125 here in co,but what it will do is the very best and then some of both worlds!!! thought i would share that with you it even beats the newer eye hortilux hps lamp in overall both spectrums, let me know what you think ok,if you have any questions shoot them to me?its easier this way and alot more yeild with this lamp even better than combining normal mh and hps, weve grown with standard mh and this blows it way way out,the plants are way stronger from the start the stalks the difference is night and day, could be as much as 50 percent increase in yeilds trust me even in leaf, ive heard people on here say theve gotten buds identical to outside with this lamp!!its made to exact natural sunlight a true agricultural lamp its used in plant research its so good,400w eye hortilux blue mh 29,000 lumans you would think thats not enough but it is for my 15 by 15 room one lamp!!!, sincerely cherokee
