I dont know if anyone else notices this. But I notice whenever i smoke with someone older they usually are stunned if you bust out a whole gram to toke in one session. I just recently became legal, and i notice i have been smoking like half of really small bowls and getting blazed and not smoking any more. It is weird, has anyone ever noticed before?

LOL. I have noticed that. That's funny. I don't know if the tolerance is any less for any other reason than how much (or how little) they smoke. THat is, if they smoked as much as younger people, older people woud have just as high of a tolerance I think.

It might be because after a while, people generally get their patterns of conservation w.the stuff down, and one bowl or a one hitter becomes their norm, whereas most of us are just like "let's see how high we can get- might as well fill my bong with dark storm clouds, and repeat, until I can't breathe"- then of course you will have a higher tolerance!

Because you will run across an old dude who can hang from time to time, I don't think getting older inherently means a lower tolerance.

Ha I dont think so either. I just thought it was funny when I was thinking about it and there was a pattern. Just some jokes observations.

As you get older you grow up.

When you are young you just want to get as high as possible, when you are older you just want to relax with a nice joint. Same with everything, when was younger I would go out drinking bottles of straight spirits, nowadays the thought wouldn't even cross my mind.

Exactly! Older people don't need to get super high all the time. Most kids don't have that much control and do things in excess. I have things to do, and I'm busy a lot, I usually smoke only 1-2 times a week and I just smoke a little bit. Because I smoke less, it's more special when I do toke. If you smoke less you keep your tolerance down and save money. Not only that, but I like to smoke less so I can better distinguish the traits of the high. :)
