Have you guys heard of a drink called the green fairy or somthing? You can only get it in Europe. Is there anyway to get it here in the US?

It's absinthe. It's legal to buy the stuff needed to make it at any of those herbal shops. www.iamshaman.com, for example. It's made with Wormwood.

But the name doesn't work for me. I can see the reaction at some local bar;

"What'll ya have?"
"A green fairy."
"This ain't that kinda place. Now if you'd be so kind as to remove my fist from your nose and leave, it'd be appreciated".

Somehow, ordering a Manhattan sounds like a lot less trouble.
