Seriously. I challenge all Obama fanatics to prove me wrong when I say he is pretty much just like the rest of them with a few minor variations. But when I say prove it I mean prove it without using mainstream sources. I don't want a link to his home site or a link to some .gov site. I want something real. However, this still doesn't mean you can't use credible sources....I just want credible sources that isn't so convieniantly available to you. The reason why I make this request is because I believe we're getting a painted picture of who he really is. By exploring sources that are credible but not easily available you can reduce the amount of bias against or for him. So seriously....someone please prove me wrong because I've had it up to here with this stupid mantra of change.

I don't think there will be any PROOF until he actually takes office. From my point if view, the "change" that I want to see is the focus on differrent priorities than what we have had in the past. I want to see a focus on evironmental issues, healthcare issues and alternative energy issues, instead of the issues we have focused on for eight years --- taxes and wars.

So I am not sure there is any PROOF yet. All we have to go on are the promises at this point --- we'll get proof one way or another in the next year or two after he takes office.

according to the right wing blogosphere, obama is different because he is a socialist, he pals around with terrorists, he hates america, and he's a secret muslim with a fake name who wasn't even born in america

Some people believe this yes, however I am not to jump to conclusions because somebody's unchangeable mind has been set on what they think. People come up with bad things to say about Obama AND Bush, most of which don't matter at all or even make sense in my eyes.. These things are getting in the way of the real issues. IMHO I don't care who is running the country, it is the people behind the scenes that are actually in charge.. Not Obama. This country is based on trust of the people, so why not trust them until I get some valid evidence of a fuck up or some great things done? Such as George Bush, in my eyes he wasen't a bad president who knows what could've happened if somebody else was in charge? It could've been WAY worse or WAY better, but the people decided.. You will never know so now the question isn't who do you want for president, it is do we want to live here or not? If shit hits the fan I will peace out, but I am hoping the people that we trust so much wouldn't elect someone stupid enough to set this country in the wrong direction.

As Dragonrider said, there won't be proof until he takes office but it will even be hard to tell then, because we will never know what it would be like if somebody else was in charge.. We can only assume.

Those are good points, Seattle, but there are ways to tell like how legislation and policies they wanted worked out.

No Child Left Behind is essentially an assault on our public school system. It was passed under the guise of helping poor schools but instead, it just cuts their funding if their students don't pass certain tests. No "Hey, let's come in and see if we can't find out what's wrong" or "Hey, let's see how the teachers are doing". Instead, it's "Hey, this school sucks. Let's take their money away and do (whatever they want) with it."

The War in Iraq is a huge fuck-up. I'm not saying Gore would have done better, but something went horribly wrong there for sure.

The list could go on for pages. All-in-all, the Bush Administration was a complete disaster when you look at their policies and how they handled shit that was shoved on them (which, admittedly...was a shit-ton. I mean, 9/11, Katrina, inches away from reviving the Cold War, and then ending it all with an economic crisis...god-fucking-damn it's been a long 8 years).

If Bush was the best bet to handle all this shit, then we are just fucked up as a nation...
