The ends justify the means. Thats the mentallity. Same thing as gitmo. Torcher the terrorists to get the info to save America. Of course an occasional innocent person being torchered is just collateral damage.

Isn't it rather hypocritical to maintain that the same couldn't be said of the entire drug war?

Did anyone expect something differently. At least this guy finally came out. For every guy like this, there are probably 100 that go to the grave with it thinking they helped the world! Losers!

What a piece of S**t, he can spend the rest of his life in jail, trying to "correct the wrong" and hell never come close, you cant just fix a problem like that by telling the truth!

Not at all. It's easy to detest prison sentences for cannabis users, supporters and even traffickers, but grouping ourselves with the rest of the people being punished for actual DRUG use will only debilitate our cause.

Smart and brave politicians are willing to stand up to support medical marijuana, but they wouldn't touch our cause with a ten foot pole if we were mentioned in the same breath as cocaine or heroine use. It's bad enough that we have to fight for an illicit drug to be made legal than try to carry or defend the shit bags that sell ACTUAL drugs throughout our country.

and the cops wonder why people give them an attitude when they get pulled over or worse, get scared and shoot the police when they walk up...

its cause they know even if they aren't doing anything wrong there is still a chance they are about to get worked over by the cops just to fill the city coffers.

thank god the only time a cop has ever lied to a judge about me was regarding a minor traffic stop.

if a cop ever sent me to jail on false testimony he better hope he puts me in jail for life, cause if i got out i'd track him down, torture him to death, and make sure every cop he ever worked with knew what happened to him and why. at that point i wouldn't even care if they put me back in jail, so long as as many news outlets carry the story as possible, and it gets just one cop who saw the story on tv to not lie for the badge, for fear of righteous reprisal.

My god, this pisses me off. 99 per cent of issues have two sides to them, grey areas, whatever, but not the war on cannabis. WE are RIGHT, they are WRONG, END OF STORY!

I almost wish I believed in hell just so I could know John P. Walters, every cop who lied, etc. are there.

And how can an allegedly free country like Canada allow one of its nonviolent citizens to be extradited by foreigners?

"Actual drugs", huh? Does that include alcohol? Or are these "shit bags" you're referring to only cocaine and heroin users?

I do have to chuckle. i'm not sticking up for him in ANY way....but the man lied for what he believed in.....just like the rest of us do. It always makes me grin to see the hypocrites come out......like overthrow there....we're right and everyone else is wrong.

Can't be much more closed minded than that.

And think of all them corner markets near middle schools selling them drugs!!!

We should insure they get enhanced sentences!

The "drug war" is a war on all of us.
