Well, well well. I guess all good things can't last forever.
Son of a bitch if I didn't find a rouge male flower on my Green Crack runt today. At first I was a little upset, I picked it off, ran out of the room, put it on the counter, and yes, 3 nanners were just inside it.
I spent about an hour looking for more, also looked on the other plants as well, nothing. I would say I am surprised, but I was half expecting something to happen to that plant. It's the runt of the group, hardly any fan leaves left on it, they all fell off practically. I was kind of rooting for her, she is still flowering aggressively, and despite her stature, her top flower is bigger than a few of my very healthy MK. Stinky little girl!
I DID USE, APPLY REVERSE AS PER THE INSTRUCTION VER BATUM WITH THE PENETRATOR!!!!
I AM 100% CERTAIN THAT THERE IS NO LIGHT LEEK, CHECKED, CHECKED, AND DOUBLE CHECKED, THEN TRIPLE CHECKED, THEN CHECKED AGAIN.
I am wondering if it's genetic, or stress related. Stress as in I have no idea what, I say that because it has been strugling and runty, and looking wierd since birth. I just did not have the heart to kill her and her flowers are among the best in the room, aside from the lack of quantity due to her small size/stunted/retarded growth?:wtf:
I got this seed from a batch of GC that I picked up in SFV at a clinic. It was a lone seed.
Given the fact that it turned out to be female, I thought there may have been an off chance that it might have been a femmed seed, unintentional of course. This was my thinking anyway.
So, my questions.

1. Who out there can talk to me about your experiences with using Reverse and success or failures.
I believe that the product does not prevent hermies, but causes the male pollen to be sterile.

2. So if that is true, is it highly likely I will/or would not have even had an issue had I left the male flower on, or missed it?

3. Have any of you out there had grows where you used Reverse, had a herm, and had no seeds?

4. Is it possible for a plant to herm and only throw 1 male flower, or when a plant herms, is it just a matter of time until it's full blown hermie? Does that make sense? I guess I am asking if plants will herm to a degree?

5. If this was your plant, and you found this one lone male flower, removed it, would you let it go?

Please, your thoughts folks, I am at a loss as to whether or not to let her live.
I am in Day 36 of Flowering, so she still has a ways to go. Trichs are clear to cloudy, maybe more clear than cloudy, maybe even?:(

Sorry, I have no experience with Reverse.

I do have a strain that I crossed (Inca Spirit x Potent Purple) and has a weird hermie trait.
About one out of 6 of 'em throw-out a couple of nanners just after transplanting them to their final pot, about a week into 12/12. A few days later, the nanners start to dry-up (unopened) and I never see them again. At first I thought I was stressing 'em, but it's almost religiously 1 in 6, and I'm fairly consistent in how I treat my plants.
Have never seen a seed from this action, and it always happens at the same transplant point. Doesn't happen at all if I transplant in veg before switching to 12/12.

So to answer your question 4...I have seen plants 'grow-out' of it's hermyism, and finish nicely. Not what I'd call a common occurance, as it only happens to this one cross, but I know it happens.

I'd keep it, but I have a couple of 48" x 18" x 3/8" pieces of clear plexiglass I use to make a wind shield. I put my male (or forced hermie) in the corner, protected from the fans by the plexiglass. Works pretty good and the plexiglass gets a static charge from the breeze, making virtually all dust (and pollen) stick to it.

p.s. If you keep it, watch for bright yellow blotches inside the buds. Sometimes nanners like to hide in there, too.

I have experience with Reverse. I use it with Penetrator, Full Botanicare pro line, and humbolts Bushmaster, Purple Maxx, and Gravity. My strain is a white widow blueberry mix (sugarberry). The mother is great and produces lots of bud in a SOG but does tend to have a few male sacs once in a while due to genetics.
I have used Reverse for a few grows now and have found no sacs, seeds, nanners or the like. This product has worked everytime for me and on friends grows as well. I use it as directed with Penetrator. I use it more as a safety pro-caution and would continue to use it even on plants that don't usually hermie just in case it encounters some stress.

Oh and to your # 3 question. My friend while using Reverse had a male sac develop on 1 plant 6 weeks into flower. he picked it out, but no seeds had formed at all in the last 2, and some change, weeks. he has never seen a sac or the like since.
