After a certain amount of time being inactive on the board, does your rep disappear?

I left for a long, long time, and came back just yesterday and all my rep is gone.

just curious if there is an automated rep deletion procedure or something.

its not too big of a deal..after all its just rep!

but im still curious why its all gone now.

well have you thought of :hippy::hippy::hippy: maybe you have recieved any negative rep points and thats why they disappeared? thats the only way i know they can go down, maybe something is wrong and you should contact a mod:jointsmile:

I had my rep almost maxed out..i dont think thats a possibility. and the fact that i havnt posted in years makes me think that i couldnt have gotten negative rep while i was gone. i had no posts to rep!

i do think something is wrong and i am attempting to contact a mod with this post.

You had maxed out rep points on 35 posts?
Are you the high times editor?

no dude, all my posts are gone as well. i had hundreds and hundreds of posts.

look at my join date. theres no way i would only post 35 posts in almost 4 years. i was on this forum almost every day.

EDIT... why havnt any mods answered this post? the mods must be slacking these days, apparently.

Maybe your thinking of someone else, being a chameleon I often get caught up in that trap too.

so youre saying that im not thinking of myself but im thinking of someone else and mistaking them for myself? that doesnt make sense, as I dont have multiple personality disorder, and I think I remember myself pretty well.

Obviously it is a big deal to you or else you wouldn't have stuck in that little stab at the mods which isn't going to fly.

First of all we aren't slacking. I believe that you can give a man a fish you feed him today but if you teach him to fish then you feed him for a lifetime. I moved your threads to the right forums and some of your rep questions to this forum where the answers are. You have another thread going about disabled rep and the answers to that are clearly here if you read the threads here or use the search feature. If you do a search on disabled in the title you get about 15 results and I think 7 or 8 are about disabled rep. By moving your threads I was trying to help point you in the right direction without spoonfeeding you the answer, something I also didn't have time to do either. Apparently reading may have become useless overnight.

Next as far as your missing rep something doesn't add up because in your intro post you said this:

http://boards.cannabis.com/introduce-yourself/165443-im-back-after-3-years.html

If in fact you have been gone for 3 years, how did you have any rep in the first place? The current rep system has been in place for about 17 months so how did you have any rep if you left a year before it started?

Let's just go with a working theory that you aren't good with dates and you did have rep. If you haven't been active for 3 years, it could be a safe bet that you did lose them through inactivity and you shouldn't be surprised. There was also a change over from server to server during that time and we have seen isolated problems from that. Either way shit happens, roll with it.

There may be a few other reasons why you lost them.

Again, if this isn't such a big deal to you then why keep taking jabs at us because of your questions that went unanswered on a Sunday until Monday.

maybe I misstated my inactivity. im not a statistic machine, so maybe i got my inactivity dates mixed up, but I believe that it said my last visit was 3 years ago..i could be mistaken and thats fine, its an honest mistake.

but aside from dates, which I will admit of course im bad with, I can remember having tons of rep blocks.

The only reason im being so persistant with the question is because I see mods posting on other threads, but not mine with such a small, hypothetically easy-to-answer question. I figure if youre a mod you must know how the system works, so one of you should be able to answer my question pretty easy. That is what I mean by slacking..maybe I should have used a different analogy, like cherry picking, i.e. picking which threads to respond to and not respond to. You dont have to take constructive criticism so personal.

Im still curious why all my posts and rep blocks and avatar and sigs have disappeared without any explanation. Of course its not that hard to believe that over time they disappeared due to inactivity, but if thats the case then just say it.

I don't find you at all being persistant but rather impatient as there are only a couple of posts made 3 hours before you insulted us. I don't find calling someone slacking to be constructive criticism one bit.

This is going to end now. I gave you possible explanations, all but answered your questions on disabled rep, and if want a definite answer to why the rep and avatar and post count, you will have to wait for an administrator to look at it and then there may be no 100% sure answer.
