Hi,

I have 5 seeds, 2 in Rapid Rooter pods and 3 in soil. My first question is, when is the best time to move them from the medium they are in now to the my 5 gallon hydro pots. Do I place the medium into the rocks? Do I have to remove the roots from their mediums? I'm not sure and I don't want to harm the roots if I have to take them from their medium. Also, is putting soil into the hydroton ok?

Thanks!

No soil in hydro. For the ones in soil just wash of the roots good. You can take a bucket about half full and just dunk them in, the soil will wash off easy. Seems like it's rough but it's not.
The ones in rapid rooters can go in just as soon as you see white roots. You can also just slice down the side of rooter and wash them as well.
You should alway start in something that goes well with hydro.

Do not let them stay in soil too long. Soil roots and hydro roots are different and will stress out a plant when changed like that.
