Remember when John McCain announced Sarah Palin would be his running mate?
http://boards.cannabis.com/politics/161308-sarah-palin-mccains-vp-pick.html
And remember what a bunch of you guys said?
LMAO! Now McCain is a lock! The snubbing that Clinton took from the DNC and Obama pissed off alot of the women voters, NOW they have a person to vote for. GREAT MOVE on the part of McCain.
Obama had the perfect opportunity to lock the election with the nomination of Clinton....now he doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell. Husband is a union member, son just joined the service and is off to Iraq soon.....DAMN, what a choice!! :D
Have a good one! :s4:
I couldn't agree more, great explanation from P4B, too
And then I said:
So Obama doesn't have enough experience to be President but Sarah Palin does? I'd like to see him try and argue that one.
Come November, I'll bump this thread, and then you can try and explain why President-elect Obama didn't have a snowball's chance in hell. ;)
But no way I could have been right, right?
Great post p4B!!! As i stated in the other thread this deffenitely locks in my vote for Mccain. And Khronik, I'll make sure to bump this thread for you when your hiding in your corner when your chosen one dosent get elected!
Oh yeah, PLEASE bump the thread......LOL.....I'll find it most amusing.
Have a good one! :s4:
Of course, P4B locked the thread so I couldn't bump it, but that's not gonna stop me from doing my share of gloating! In a little over two months, President-elect Obama is going to be President Obama! Just think, for at least four years, he's going to be Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, the President of the United States of America, Barack Hussein Obama! Doesn't it make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

Glad somebody has that tingly feeling inside.....LOL. Like I said in the other thread, congrads to Obama and I can't wait for all these free goodies not to mention decriminalized m.j.. IF it works out like he stated, GREAT!; if not, some of us told ya so. LOL
Hey, now some of the members from the right can bitch on a daily basis. LOL:D
Have a good one!:s4:

talking the talk is one thing, but getting it done is another. it takes a lot more than one man to get anything done in politics. and he's not preisdent yet, let's not get ahead of ourselves.
and i'm not sure i'm keen to the idea of him being incharge of our military. either way, he can only make war for 180 days without congressional approval. not that he has the desire or testicles to do such a thing.
and being a senator for only 4 years. i'm not sure where you guys feel he's qualified to run the country. granted he was a state legislator for 7 years before that. i guess well see what he's actually all about. only time will tell.

can we get over this my side, your side, my word, your word business already???
Please, I say we give ourselves a 10 week moratorium till he's sworn in, no more talk of some shit that's already been decided... jeeeeeez
Let the man get in there do something or screw up, then start over, this is just worthless, OK 24 hours of joy and jubilation or sadness n madness was enough for all mature people to get a hold of themselves and emotions, even obama is done celebrating, he's after his business as of today, making up his team
so are mccain and palin, the only one who will be celebrating for a while is G dubbya :D;) didnt yall see how happy he was this mornin, he's like "finally, I'm off the radar" j/k
I will really do my best not to post anything in regards to this presidential election anymore nor respond to anything that does not have any useful content
I'm not directing this at any specific side or person, just happened to come to this post and feel enough is enough, there were other posts and comments made and this just happened to be the last one i came across before i feel like throwin up!!!!
Free the airways please :D no more election BS, im too tired

I can see why these quotes got bumped, because there was a challenge to do so. But other than that, I don't see much purpose in it.
I am ready for things to settle down. It seems like this campaign lasted forever, and I know I got more personally invested in it than I have ever been in any campaign in my life. I really wanted this win, and I did my part as a partisan. Now that it is here I don't have a lot of enthusiasm for the gloating. To be honest, I thought I would be more into it, and I had made note of a few comments in the vien of, "Mark my words, there WILL be another Republican president!" But now I guess I am just exhausted and in no mood to bump or quote them.
The election is over, and we need to just look forward to doing the work that the election was about. It's not just a sporting event for bragging rights. This country has some serious isssues that need some serious work, and I hope everyone can find a way to be part of the solution. I supported Obama because I think he will lead us toward the right solutions for those problems, not because I wanted to back a winner for my team and rub it in the losers' faces. I have a feeling that President Obama is going to challemge EVERYONE to do their part, and I hope that we all can get on board with that, even those who did not vote for him. I don't see much profit in driving those people away.

well that is obviously very honorable of you sir. Find some more quotes to rub in people's faces. I'm sure it makes you feel all nice and special like :hippy:
With that said. Obama won and I've given my congratulations to Obama supporters. I've also said that Obama is my president and I respect him and acknowledge him as such. The reason being is not because I want him for president or I support him; but rather I respect the process and the office. He won the most votes through the process and we (you and I and everyone else) is part of the process that helps elect people that vote in the future electoral college. Therefore to disrespect him would be to disrespect the process, my fellow Americans, and myself.
We'll see what 4 years has to bring. I hope that Obama and the democrat majority houses prove me wrong. That would make me happy. :hippy:
ps: Don't be a sore winner.

I really dont get this fear? Be freaking direct and say what is is youre sooooo afraid of. And riddle me this, how on earth could it possibly be any worse than what went on in this country for almost 8 years now. Am I the only person with observational skills (without unbridled fear)?

can you provide a few details of what we'll see in a year? i'm not saying you're wrong, but i need a little more information why america might not survive a single term of the obama administration
