i hit it at 350-360.......use a coffee grinder to open up the herb expose the trichs......after a couple of bags empty the herb from the vape in your palm and crush the weed inbetween your fingers, then do a couple more bags normally you can tell when you herb is done... when its brown and crisp then its butter time:thumbsup:

I like to begin at 375*F and then increase the temp by 2-4*F after each bag. I've found that I usually get 5 bags with my digit and easy valve. So I Vape one at 375, one at 378, one at 382, one at 384, and then I do the final at 387. Before the last bag filling though, I like to regrind my herbs as I find I get better vapor on the last bag.

There is a point when a higher temp will yield no more vapor and who wants to suck down dry air?

Vaporization begins at 356 Fahrenheit. I usually run my volcano digit at between 360-365 Fahrenheit. At that temperature the hits are as easy to breathe as air and it gets you fucked up. Sometimes I move up to 375 and thats pretty tolerable but more harsh and it gets you a lil more fucked up. If its a special occassion ill go up to 392 which is smokey but still tolerable and gets you really fucked up. After 392 Fahrenheit it stops being healthy and you might aswell be using a bong. To get the most out of your weed though a bong hit in a bag can be had at 439 Fahrenheit.

Try vaping at lower temperatures.....the vape is smoother...my wife has asthma we set the digital volcano at 335-340 you get vaper at that temperture.

While vaping at lower temps, IT IS smoother but you're not getting all the active cannabinoids/THC. If you google Volcano digit temperature you will find a post somewhere that lists the 3 different THC cannabinoids and temps they need to be released. (cant link article now, using PS3 to type lol) If I remember, most THC released between high 200s farenheit until 365 degrees. The 2nd level, slightly stronger cannabinoids burns up around 365-375, then highest possible cannabinoids burn around 368-378. I know some temps overlap, guess to account for bud quality itself. Anyways, this is why I vape at least around 365-375 range, and never past 381 because digit accuracy is like within 2.4 degrees and if 378 is highest cannabinoid release(381 to offset possible accuracy in temp) then y go higher temp? Just my 2 cents, vape on...:rastasmoke:

he's right about that the fact that you have to vape at least between 365-378 farenheit to get all the levels of thc in the plant matter. If you're vaping below 365, it's not a waste exactly because it is much smoother at lower temps but you're not getting the full high out of the buds. Some people think you can just turn on your volcano and get the same results at any temp but that is entirely false.....different temps for different effects. I like to vape at lower temps in the morning, slightly higher temps after work and the highest temps for sleep or when I want to get the highest possible, but that's just me.

The study linked below is generally accepted as the best temp guide. 365 F is listed as the temp for a complete release of THC, without adding toxins that kick in at higher temps (around 400 F). There are a few sedative, analgesic type compounds that vaporize as high as 435, so you have to weigh the want/need for those against the cleaner vapor you get below 400.

I just spent hours reading all NORML studies and other temp THC related things. From what I gathered, 392 farenheit is highest temp needed to get the most THC possible, with 365-392 being the best range. Anything your reading about 400 range is borderline combustion & the whole point of vapes is to get away from that. I personally see best results in the 370s range on my Volcano Digit.:rasta: :vap_rasta:

I do enjoy the smoother lower temp vapes but I prefer to get more THC out of my product:thumbsup::hippy:

If you read alittle further in the reports it also states that THC is present in vapor @ 284*F:thumbsup: :vap_smiley:

Significant amounts of benzene began to appear at temperatures of 200° C. (392° F), while combustion occurred around 230° (446°F) or above. presence of THC was in evidence as low as 140° C. (284° F).

I agree .... the need to get the most out of the weed....I tried 2-3 bags on 365*F it doesnt get me any higher than 2-3 bags on 350*F...it is a thicker vapor and harsher on 365 but it doenst get me any higher

I know that but it also says that more THC is extracted at higher temps. I'm not saying any temp is better than the other, to each their own. If I had some asthma or lung related issue, I'd DEF suggest vaping at lower temps. I noticed something odd today actually....I've been so used to vaping but my friend REALLY wanted to use my bubbler today cause he had some strawberry diesel....anyways long story short, I coughed like hell and got really high but noticed it was much diff than what I've been used to...I confirmed today WHY I love vaping so much better...plus much cleaner high. To me, it depends on bud quality as to HOW MUCH effect temp has. I'm going to try a 330-350 vape right now to see if ur right haha p :rasta: :vap_rasta:

I agree ...after anyone makes the switch to vapin.... then tries to smoke a bowl...its like placing your face above a BBQ and inhaling....smokey:twocents:

You are also right as to the fact about different strains and temp...my indica does good at 350* but my friends sativa strain needs 360*

Try this too.....fill up your chamber with weed then place it on the volcano...turn on the blower....wait until you can see the vapor visually.. then attach your bag...elimates the first few seconds(5-10) of just air...especially if you vape on lower temps:thumbsup:...preheats the weed

Well VapedG I def TASTED my jack hair nug I just vaped at 351 and I'm pretty high off 2 bags (easy valve standard) soooooo in conclusion.....lets all vape at w/e temps and get really high lol do u happen to listen to the Dopefiend show every week at dopefiend.co.uk?? Good stuff if u dont. :rasta:

*edit. I ALWAYS preheat....question is, do u preheat 2nd, 3rd, 4th bags??? Also, idea...how about starting at like 375 and right after u put the bag on, lower temp to 365 WHILE FILLING and the temp will gradually drop, nice blend of vapor density.

I repeat the process for every bag:vap_rasta: but the 2nd 3rd 4th bags normally only takes a few seconds to see the vape unless I get lost in space inbetween bags. :D
