PPM Suggestions for aeroponics system

Hello everyone!

Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what a good PPM reading should be for both veg and flower stages. I will be using TechnaFlora nutes the whole way through. Currently I'm in the germination phase (which is going surprisingly fast i might add) and am still tweaking the pH and atmosphere conditions for optimal growth. Again this is an aeroponics system with continuous fogger and drip feed system.

Also, any idea what the water level should be inside the reservoir? The auto shutoff stops it just shy of the basket. This seems a little high to me, but seeing as how its my first time, i dont really know what to expect. And finding useful information on this setup is a little harder than I imagined.

Well, It's been a while since i posted my original question, and have since come up with a few answers (thanks to stinky) if anyone else is interested.

Example: My tap water is a constant 170PPM, stinky advised me to add calmag to the water up to 250PPM, then add nutes up to 400PPM (depending on plant size(s)). Then PH after nutes are added.

Im sure most of you already know this, but for the beginners it can save A LOT of trouble.. :rastasmoke:

Your description sounds more like DWC than aeroponics which is good if you're using Technaflora. In my experience that stuff is a bit clog-prone in aero. (mentioning water level below the basket sounds like DWC) The fogger would qualify as aeroponics if that's all you're using.

But as far as ppm goes, that's really strain-specific and influence by growing environment. The more light, CO2 and the hardier the strain, the more you'll want to feed it. Bigger plants eat more too.

Keep an eye on your pumps and drip nozzles and make sure you've got a good filter on your pump intake. Technaflora likes to gum up that stuff and clog it. I'd recommend something cleaner like what Advanced Nutrients makes if you want to steer clear of those problems.
