I consistently feel like efforts to end Marijuana prohibition are pointless. Occasionally a bill goes before congress, and is shot down! I sit here and smoke a bowl in the privacy of my own home, simply so I can fall asleep, (and stay asleep) at night. While watching Family Guy I have to endure commercial after commercial talking about how bad Marijuana is. Is there a way that we can make commercials of our own? Commercials that mock the governments efforts to criminalize something which we have every right to do. I would donate money for such a thing, and I know I'm not the only one.

all we need is a couple of millionaires who are willing to sacrifice their dollars for the cause, for freedom of REAL information
I for one have planned my life pretty much that way, since i was never that obsessed with money, as long as i had what i needed and a little of what i wanted, [kind of like warren buffet, he still lives in a normal house he has had for years now, not a mansion, great man!]
and since i totally dont want to get married for a good while, focusing on me and my concerns and my wealth, i think given the future of my business (degree) career, I will become one of those people who will amek big enough of bucks to spend the money to inform the public... i just gotta make sure i invest in the right markets and right companies, hoping we're not gonna have a worldwide depression expreince lasting a decade or more
come on, getting started @ 60k with no experience is quite promising, isnt it? add up bonuses and investment returns to that and i see myself in a good shape 7-10 years from now... i sure hope i can refer to this post then:D im such a dreamer to be dream-chaser/achiever

We need to keep spreading information! Obviously, if a powerful man, like Barack Obama, doesn't know the difference between the opioid system and the cannabinergic system, then it is up to us "potheads" who have to catch everyone up to the 21st century.
Up, up, and, away!!! (I corrected my last statement and realized that I had two "ups".)

Not to get nit picky but Buffets house is far from normal. Yeah it may not be a mansion but its still large and in a good area right downtown. He also has a Lincoln or did last time saw it many years ago. now sam walton drove an old beat up red pick up truck... thats meager for a billionaire.
I agree that we need some millionaire to help fund a fight. Why dont any step forward. Did any one read the thread on the successful retiring hedge fund manager? where is he with his money...maybe he could give some to help with the guilt of robbing the people blind. What about ted turners or actors. why do all these people associate with the MMJ moment and not help the funding. I think the truth TV ads are a great idea. Does anyone think that even if the movement could afford it the TV stations would air it? Its all a big F-ing game and we are on the losing end of it!

that might be meager for a billionaire, but walmart is horrible for america!
we should just start by shooting homemade videos with real facts! any and all types from serious to sketch comedy. we can start by putting them on youtube and the like. make it viral like all of those stupid hoax videos. or like big companies use for marketing (think xbox360). you can flip those into a website, possibly here, if they would have them which will draw people. more people = more information! that will help. once you get a site up, use site advertising to maintain the site/help with different projects. start a non-profit organization. take donations (tax deductible) and use for education/information/protest etc.
it's not a perfect plan, maybe not probably, but plausible and possible. just something to get some creative juices flowing. now someone run with it. we can come up with something!
you can't be afraid to go down for the cause! no one ever respects the "father" of great ideas/movements, it's always someone who comes after. so if you are in it for the fame, sorry, probably not gonna get it. but who's in it for that right?
