Got my 2 babies out of the dirt 5 days ago and I read on other threads that miracle grow is not suitables for baby plants.

My soil is not miracle grow its Potting Soil Plus from Schultz (canada)

Guaranteed Minimum Analysis per volume is

Total Nitrogen (N).......................0.008%
Available Phosphoric Acid (P2O5)...0.012%
Soluble Potash (K2O)...................0.08%

is this enough? too much? not enough?

That should be fine.

That Schultz potting soil is about the same as the MG potting soil. I have used both.

No nutes, the first 3 weeks or so. Lightly, water. Also, it's helps to flush the soil well, before planting the seeds or transplanting later. (allow to drain completely, add perlite 20%) IMO.

Watch for the roots growing out the bottom of the pots, then transplant. Good luck with your grow. Enjoy.

Ok thx for the info
I've just saw that one of my plant root's are coming out of the bottom of my pot.

So i'll transplant tomorrow!

they are only a week old!

Is this soil great troughout all the stages of the plant?

And for the transplant i'll use more perlite in the mix.

Edit Nitrogen is 0.08%

So its called 8-12-8?

My other soil is 14-14-14..Never used it but I have it here

What soil should I use for transplant?

Got some perlite for the mix but what kind of soil you recommend?

Potting soil (seedling mix) with no nutes added, is best. I use what's available locally. I flush the soil before use. (to wash away, excess nutes)

and 1/4 strenght nutes, later.

Ok

So today I bought some nuteless soil ( not schultz or miracle grow).

Transplanted my 2 puppies in 1.5 gallons pot and they are doing just fine! They were tipping on the side a bit but 2-3 hours after they are straight as a german highway!

1 Question about nutes,

When they say 14-9-9 or any numbers they have is it 14%-9%-9% ?

Or 0.14%-0.9%-0.9% ??

Because I saw some pack of nutes at the store and in 2-3 weeks I will buy some so advices would be good!

Searched a bit (time too) about nutes

I need some 20-10-10 for veg 20=20% and so on...

And 10-10-20 for flowering and a bit more calcium

I think i'm doing well!

PS: I think i'll buy a kodak soon, so i'll post pics of my beautiful little babies! (Damn I sound like a freaking old granma....) But i love 'em!!

Monkeybone, it might be good to find a fertilizer that is a powder with alot of stuff in it to avoid nute deficiencies. Stuff like sulphur and boron, etc. These are the micro nutes and you want to buy fertilizer in powder so the nutes don't bind with each other. Just use a weak amount when plants are small.

Ok, i'll search for that when buying fert!
