So last week I bought an OZ of some stuff that smells amazing, looks amazing, barely any seeds in it at all. judging by the way it looks, I'd say it was some top quality mids, but when I smoke it, It barely gets me high at all! I can't even tell if im high right after smoking it sometimes. So im just wondering why this is? I'm thinking it was picked to early and maybe not cured properly but thats all I can think of. Anyone else know why this may happen?

Same here,I had picked up some weed earlier from my caregiver and it smelled amazing and the first time I smoked it was good, but the next time afterwards,it just kinda doesnt do anything.I get this down feeling like how you feel 5 hours later after smoking a whole bunch or too much weed.....I was told he cut the weed early too.

yeah, thats about the same for me. When I first picked it up, i rolled a blunt and felt pretty good. Now, I smoke and i get an ok body high for a little while, but then I feel extremely tired like i've been smoking all day.

could just be shit weed, or like you say probally harvested too early or it could be you'r mind playing tricks. i once bought an oz of hash which on the first smoke of it i was questioning if it was any good or not and kept thinking it was shit i thought it looked a weird color and this made me question it as you allways do on the first one, i couldn't get stoned on it so basically i went stupid with it and started to waste it, it wasn't untill i was down to my last few joints that a mate came round i offerd him my hash to skin up and told him it was shit so use loads, 10 mins later he's telling me i'm out of order and he is well and truely stoned, after seeing this i got shitfaced and realised that it was some really good shit, but sadly by then it was nealy all gone lol.the mind is a powerful tool and if there is a bit of uncertainty it can greatly exsagerate it. get a mate to try it.

This happened to me five years ago. It was taken premature and was burnt to hell with chems/nuts. but the look, size, and smell were all there. Go figure! wasnt in my head, just bad chronic!

unlucky! if its got some seeds and aint that strong , chances are its a hermapheradite. or its been grown with a male in the room, if the seeds are light coloured its been chopped early. and if the grower has noticed its been pollinated , thats y its been chopped early.

There is an easy way to know if it wasnt properly cured: take the weed you will smoke (whole, before grinding), put in a dish, sprinkle some water over it for wet it a bit (do not soak it), then microwave it until the water evaporate completly and the weed get dry and crunchy. Then smoke it. This process has the same effect of properly curing it, so if it wasnt properly cured, you will notice the difference.

ok cool, i'll definitely try that. how long do you think i should microwave it for? like 30-45 seconds? If this does in fact work, is there a better way to properly cure the rest of the bud or should i just do this each time before i smoke?

I dont know exactly how long it takes, as it depends on the potency of your microwave... try to microwave it some 30 seconds, then see if the weed is already dry, if it werent microwave for more 30 secs, etc, until the weed get completly dry.
Uncured weed gets stronger as the time passes (cause it slowly cures itself), and perfectly cured weed gets weaker as the time passes (cause the light/air slowly destroys the THC). So I think it would be better to do it each time you were to smoke.

yeah i figured it would depend on what type of microwave it is, i just wanted like a ball park figure. I'll try 30 secs and see how that goes.

So how did this microwave business turn out?

If he was as successful as the fellow stoner of this another thread (http://boards.cannabis.com/medical-marijuana-methods/164889-drying-weed-slow-cooker.html#post1936346), probably he is too high to post his results... the method used there was a bit different, but the principles are the same. Anyway lets wait until his journey ends to hear how it was... :stoned::stoned::stoned:

Haven't tried it yet guys. I bought some ak-47 the other day so i've just been smoking on that lately. Tonight I'm definitely trying the microwave thing though and i'll do it clear headed so i can definitely see if there are any results.

so i finally tried this and it seemed to work very well. I even smoked two blunts with my friend and one was rolled with the microwaved weed. He said that blunt got him fucking ripped and i didn't even tell him i did anything to it, so obviously it wasn't just some placebo affect. Thanks for the tip, i'll definitely be microwaving my bud more often heh.

It is quite possible that you smoked an indica-dominant strain, which wouldn't affect your CB1 receptors (in your head). Cannabis indica affects the CB2 receptors, mainly in your immune system.
