Private Messages on the forum?

Is there a way to send private messages to people on the forum? I can't seem to find one. Never been on a message board that lacked this ability

you can not send private messages.

We can't do it the vast majority of us don't want it, as you point out there are plenty of message boards that do however this is not the place for it.
