alright so back on the sunhut subject. the ventilation ended up being settled at this:

one 6" vortex bringing in cold air from outside and blowing it threw 2 1000k sealed hoods.

one 6" inline fan with a backdraft damper to make sure nothing comes or leaves when fan is off that brings in also cold fresh air on a timer. (it is currently set to go on every 15 min for 15 for the time that the lights are on and once every hour when lights off

one 6" vortex extracting hot air from the top of the 4x8 hut and removing it. (also set to every 15 minutes) - wondering if i should have it on at the same time as the fresh air coming in or if it should be set at different times?

no carbon scrubber but i have one that could be used if needed

temps are running around 77-81 with lights on

my question is now how the best possible way to get my co2 levels to 1500 ppm. was thinking about using cdmc7 controller but my issue is that i dont know the best way to set it up without interfering with my ventilation. should i get a water cooled ac for the hut and take out the intake and outtake and leave teh hoods vented? if so how would the ac unit not diminish the co2 levels if its sucking air out all day? could i get the ppms high without getting a controller and get away with just having the timers setup good so that the co2 is on at all times teh fans are off? and will the fans turning on every 15 minutes and exhausting all old air diminish the co2??

i know its all confusing but if anyone is experienced with this please help me because the hut seems like a great idea in theory but there are a lot of technical issues that need to be delt with to achieve the co2 levels and adequate ventilation i had in mind. thankss

just as a suggestion of something to look into. You could do an ac unit that recirculates the air its cooling(would also act as dehumidifier) then get rid of intake and exhaust and make sure your light venting is 100% sealed. just talking about doing that makes me jealous:) your intake and exhaust ducts would then come in handy to cool the ac unit..how far along on this are you some pics would be nice.

All that being said if you decide to go with a vented hut you could hook the venting up to a thermostat instead of timer and make it so the co2 wont try to maintain 1500ppm while the fans are running.(I am not sure what would be the best way to control humidity then)

I don't know about you but to me the sealed route just sounds so much more pimpin. i don't really have experience with this but i do have a background in related fields. more opinions would be needed for sure i was just tryin to help.:)

lol yeah i always wanted a sealed room for years finally got it almost figured out. what ac unit are you talking about that recirculates and also how much elec is it gonna run. cheaper to run the fans or the ac. .. the timers annoy me, what do you guys think about either an environmental controller or just a co2 regulator with a sensor an keep using timers for exhaust? what brands of controllers shoul i use and which brand is the ac?

what size of "hut" are we talking about? what materials would it be made of and what would be the environment it is in? the choices of ac units is crazy if u google it you will find so many options you will get lost in a sea of choices small split units would be good if thats an option. but only works if you own a house. ill give u a link to those units but there is to many unanswered questions at this point. it is a good idea to plan on having all environment controls in one linked system but there is a ton of ways to do that as well.

4x8 hut with 2 1000k.

Hydrofarm - Active Air ACAC12 Active Air Portable Air Conditioner (http://www.hydrofarm.com/pb_detail.php?itemid=8482)

put that in the hut now windering what to do about co2? should i get the fuzzy logic controller.

the ac is 12000 btu and has one outlet to bring in fresh air and one outlet to push the hot air out of. the hot air is ventilated and teh ac is making the temps perfect my only question is how to achieve 1500 ppm co2 with the ac running.wont the ac runing diminish the co2? do i have to have the ac off everytime the co2 is on or can i just leave the ac on and get a fuzzy logic controller to get the co2 at optimal levels. just dont want to have it going to waste bc the ac is on but ac is the only way to get temps right. what to do
