Anyone else into grind/grindcore/deathgrind/mathcore/cybergrind/noisecore bands. I love the fury these bands have, blazing fast, loud, noisy, kinda crazy and definately metal!
I'm talking bands like:
Agoraphobic Nosebleed, An Albatross, Animosity & Drumcorps, As The Sun Sets, A Black Rose Burial, Brutal Truth, Car Bomb, Daughters, Devilica, Dillinger Escape Plan, Discordance Axis, Don The Reader, The End, Ephel Duath, Genghis Tron, GridLink, HeWhoCorrupts, Kill The Client, The Number 12 Looks Like You, Napalm Death, Psyopus, The Red Chord, Robotosaurus, See You Next Tuesday, Sine Nomine, Some Girls, War From A Harlots Mouth etc...

One Grindcore album I like is Demonicon's first CD Condemned Creation. Root of all evil records might still have it or you could try Ebay.

cant believe I missed this thread for so long!
But yeah this kind of music is an acquired taste. Personally I believe it is for people that have been listening to normal metal for a while but just need something more harcore. What turns most people off is the growls/screaming. I really dont know how to explain it but it just gives the song the emotion and personality it needs.
But I love The Number Twelve Likes You and A Job For a Cowboy(these guys are waaay hardcore)
And the double kick drums are sooo f'ng intense when you are blazed!!!!!

Yeah, I'd agree this kind of extreme metal is an aqquired taste... I mean a few years ago I would have hated all of it myself. But once you get it, you get it and theres some amazingly talented musicians in these bands. Especially in the more mathematical bands.
I haven't been able to get into Job For A Cowboy much, but I'll agree The Number 12 Looks Like You is great stuff.
Some others I've discovered since that post...
