looks good smells good taste good but its NOT good!

has anybody ever grew pot that smells looks and taste good but was shit?. i grew this plant as you have problley seen in my grow log. it has been curing for 3 days. its good and dry but very stiky. its got all singns of good weed.lots of trichs on the buds to. some of my buds are 8 inches long but no mater how much i smoke i cant seem to get that buzz i like.now it dose take the edge away. is there any thing i can do to make it more concentraded and get a beter high out of it. pleas let me no what you think and what i can do thanks!

Drying is not curing.
And, 3 days is not enough time for either with 8" buds.
Give it a few more days of drying, then a day or 2 in paper bags, then stuff it in glass jars to cure for a month.
Be sure to open the jars for a while if you see condensation on the glass for the first week or two.
After a month, or 3, try it again.
You may be very surprised.
Proper curing can make a big difference.

But, to answer the opening question.

I once found a huge greasy cola on a wild plant in Nebraska.
Oozing with stinky resin.
Freakishly gummy!
Cut it, dried it, cured it, tried it.:wtf:

Zip, nada, bupkis, zero, nil.
It was so devoid of stone that one could smoke it to get straight:(

Tasty though, would make a great placebo.:D

If it looks good smellls good, sell it as if it was good, then buy urself some good stuff =D thats my opinion

sorry should of been more clear i hang dried for 8 days and now has been in mason jars cureing for three days and is not geting any better has any body els had this problem and if soo how can i concentrate it i dont realy want to sell it it will make pepole mad lol all idas are welcome thaks again

sounds like you grew hemp :D what strain was it?
the onlt way i know how to make it concentrated is to turn the whole lot into resin oil using a honeybee extractor :cool:
this can also happen if you harvest too late because from previous reading i found there is like a 2 week deadline. if the strain takes 8 weeks to mature and you leave it for 10 weeks to flower it will begin to lose its strength pretty fast. would be nice to hear other growers opinions on this matter because ive never let mine grow that long.

yeah, i was gonna say your strain is probably the main issue, but just for the heck of it (i have had hemp only once, i know how unsatisfactory the results can be)

u have an option to w8 and let the curing process to appropriately complete itself in the longer run

or

u can extract the active ingredient with either of available ways out there

or

u can let it cure all the way and maximize the potential ingredients, and if it still does not do the job, u can proceed to extraction and concentration



btw, u sure this is not tolerance related? sometimes I have had buds that i felt would not give me the "kick-high" i wanted, u know, that feeling that u get and confirm that u r high. due to high tolerance, i gave it a buncha days and hit it again and figured that it indeed was the bud's fault!! :D:stoned:

HEMP?? dose hemp have gooy buds i dont think its hemp i got the seeds from a bag i had. ive never had hemp i think if anything its one of those cash crops that gives good yeilds and has no kick. and yes tolerance is a problem for me i smoke a loT but now that iv been smoking my plecbo my tolerance is going to be low. it smells very fruty and looks amazing but just dosent work but. a freind of mine tried it and liked it but he dose not smoke much hmmmm im bummed my first plant is a loss.thanks everybody for your thoughts

ill post pics of theese so calld buds when i get a chanc wont be till late tonight or tomorrow but you guys will get a better idea by looking for your self. thanks again...

there is a big difference after curing, when i harvest i try to make sure not to smoke any for atleast 2 weeks cause if i do ill just sit and smoke. i found though that if i leave a couple buds out to dry and cure the rest, while smoking the drier buds id get more stoned.

ok heres some pics of this stuff. i tell ya iv never had anything like this and iv been smoking for 15 years. it just looks and smells sooo nice just no punch what so ever.check it out maby someone will recinize if its hemp or not or if its a strain someones herd of but eather way its bull shit next year i will defently bye my seeds and grow more then one plant.

you cant really tell if its hemp or great quality weed by looking at it unfortunatly it all looks similar. i do feel for you and its very dishearting after spending so much money to grow them and so much time waiting :(
ive just chopped my sensi tree's down and i was very fortunate to have had a super crop. most grew buds between the sizes of 18 inches to 24 inches plus i managed to get some feminised seed from them too, i'd be more than happy to send you some of my feminised seeds for free if it would help :) i have some to spare.

thanks sirruler thats realy desent of you to offer but i have never sent anything thru mail so i dont no how safe it would be and besides i cant grow anything untill spring cause i have to grow outdoors. so by the time im redy i will have a varity of seeds to grow.but thanks for offering. now what realy bums me out is my buddy grew a few plants out in the bush he just dug a hole and turnd the dirt a bit. he put his little plants in and did not go back untill first week of oct. i told him he needs to go check n them and mabey give nuts and a little bit of tlc. he wasent worried.well because of what happend to me with my plant being shitty and all he brought me a bag of his plant and holy mother of god it kicked my ass. and all he did was plant it leave it and then went back to harvest he dose this every year and always grows amazing weed and he always just uses some seeds he gets in his bags. well thanks again!!

if you grow from bagseed , it's a crapshoot and what you end up with most oftentimes is just crap...good seeds don't cost all that much ,but they sure are worth the effort.been there ,done both.
