Ok well i am siting down watching tv
Then i heard a big BANG!! in my grow room
I ran in and see my hps sitting on top of my plants
A couple leaves were cut, but some got toasted, i guess the lightbulb was laying on it becuase some leaves and just laying flat down
Is this gonan be problems or should they keep on living

They should be ok
You just gotta be careful, it's just going to take them a while to get back on there feet.
As long as the trunks are in tact, you should be ok
See what the experts say

no dont touch anything... just wait and see what happens, if those leaves die off, let them do so in their own time...
how come the HPS fell on them?? you need to make sure to secure your lamp correctly as it can be extremely dangerous if you dont.
what if you werent home when it happened???
be careful!!!

I have it in my shower, hanging from the showing curtain =O
Trying to find something better to hold it

i have other showers i can bath in,
The reason i picked the shower was becuase of easy draining
The electricity part right next to the water does scare me, i guess i could turn the water off at the source so i dont acidently turn the water on or somthing

hey dude, you'd be a whole lot safer with something like this, just
don't use foil, spray flat white paint instead.

Add a safety chain to your system so even if the main hangers fail you will still not have that fire hazard. Had you not been home, that could have been disastrous. That's how grows get busted! Imagine the neighbors calling teh fire department because they smell burning plastic coming from your place.... yikes.

Just another- nice setup, id like to have a biger space tho
Stink- The thing with the chain is i have nothing to hook it to,
My entire shower is lined with tile and im hesitant to start drilling, thats the only reason im holding up my hps with a shower curtain pole, or w.e there called

Then go buy TWO OR MORE of those poles that you twist to jam into a space by pressure, and hang your lights by heavy duty bungee cords to distribute the weight evenly so that the light is attached at 2 points to each of the 2 poles. This way, if one slips, the other holds, at least long enough for you to notice.

Well going off what happend to you it proves that your shower rail is not safe, I would rather have another hole drilled than have the house burn down like Stinky has already said.

Good idea stinky i might do that
I am growing at my house(aka my parents house)
And there ok with me doing it, i have a feeling when i tell them about the light falling
That they might let me drill a couple holes instead of burning down there house.
Thanks alot guys for all your information, i really appreciate it
Ill take a trip up to wallyworld and see what i can do
