Im not getting to serious in the growing, and i wont be devestated if the yield is poor (if there is any)...
so a few things:
1. my former lighting method was to put the plants in a window at 10pm, then theyd get natural light around 6:30, and then id move them to a compact flourescent at 6pm and keep them there until 10pm.
2. i have since moved them to a room in my basement where they have been sitting under 24/0 flourescent for 3 days now. and i think im gonna keep it like that until they flower.
3. im a bit concerned because its been probably 5 weeks since i first planted, and theyre really not that big. maybe 8 inches.
4. im using the resources i have, and two of my plants are in gallon milk jugs that i cut the top off of. these jugs have holes in them, but i havent really been using anything to put run off in, except using a plate for one.
5. as you can see in some of the pictures, two of the plants bottom sprouts appear to be dying if not dead already. is this bad? the rest of the plant seems fine.
6.they may have had a rough transplant because when i transplanted two of them, the soil was still a bit moist and parts of the block broke off. some roots may have been damaged, im not sure. they are all still erect at this point.
7. also, its getting kinda cold in my area, so i moved them to the basement which is the warmest place in the house. could the coldness have affected the growth?
in pic 1, you can see some off color streak on one of the leaves. anyone know what this is? in pics 3 and 4 you can see the dead looking leaves on the bottom. theyve been like this for a week probably.
again, im not really doing this too terribly seriously, doing it to do it pretty much, hence the only money ive really spent is getting soil (and the eventual energy cost), and using household items for the rest.
thanks for any input guys. i felt i should make this because i looked at some peoples pics and theirs were 3 weeks old and a lot bushier than mine.
(2 seeds are just bag seeds, and the third is a beaster)
