2nd Grow - New setup

I'm now starting my second grow and grow log !

I just install my grow tent in my grow room, so now I can start a perpetual grow with a section for flowering and another for veg.

Here is a small list of my equipment:

1000W Ballast with a cool tube and a Hortilux bulb
6 inch Vortex 450 CFM with an Odorsok filter
A tent 48"x48"x78" - So I can have 16 plants.

I now have 11 plants, clones from my last grow.
9 of them have already been transplant from the small cup to 8 inch pot.
I'll take clone from the 2 best plants of my last harvest and I will keep a mother of these 2 plants.

so I see the vortex and the filter are attached to each other but how do you cool the light itself with the black tubes coming out of it?

does it have a separate fan attached to it outside somewhere?

The fan is sucking air from the filter and pushing it in the vent duct passing in the cool tube cooling down the HPS and then going out the tent, to an exhaust leading outside. The other fan I have in the tent is to move air around...

it's lookin' good man but i think you need to re-think your air flow.

first, you don't need to filter the air for the light, you should set it up
so that cooler outside air is pulled in, across the light and vented out
the other side, no need to filter it.

then, you should set that vortex fan up outside the tent pulling the odor
infused air out and through the filter.

as it is now, you're just pulling outside air in across the light and through
the filter and pumping that air into the tent.

anyway, good luck man, i'm sure you'll work it out

If I pull air from outside it will create a positive pressure and the air will go in my apartment spreading the smell all over. The thing is that I exhaust the air outside... Maybe I just don't understand what you are trying yo make me realize.

and i now understand, you're not blowing it out that filter, you're
pulling air in through the filter and then across the light and out, yes?

I've been quite busy at work and in my life... I have some time right now, so I'm doing a quick update. I've started flowering plants on the 1st of November, just check the picture for dates.

I'm feeding my plants with my EJ products with still some grow because they will stretch..

This is for a gallon of water :

1/2 Tbsp of grow
1 Tbsp of bloom
1 tsp of Catalyst
1 tsp of Meta-K

Here are some picture, I've check the plants and they are stating to really get root bound, so I've transplanted 2 on them. I'll will transplant more tomorrow.

Your dream looks like a wet one to me LuciferN. Does your exhaust run all the time of just when the lights are on?

Couple questions for you:

I've read that you can take clones 3wks into flower but it seems everyone does it before flower, is it ok to keep taking clones?

My plants are finishing week 4 of flower and some of the shorter, bottom branches are hardly flowering at all. Are these prime candidates for cloning?

Last but not least. Do you're clones ever develop purple stems before rooting? lol

Right now it always on... because I still need to exhaust the room for the clone/veg section of the room.

Turbo~the best advice I can give you for your clones is just take em. If they don't work out, well your just out a few underdeveloped branch tips right. I've taken clones 2-3 weeks into flowering and had no troubles except for strange sugar leaf production that eventually went away. It all depends on the strain.
