I've been here for the last two months and I have been declined, walked away from, and given the hairy eye more times than I want to count.
For a guy that looks like I do, it ain't easy. I work in engineering and keep my hair short. I'm over forty, overweight, wear business casual to get the bills paid. Unfortunately, either I am invisible or I look too much like the law. I say this because I believe my looks have very effectively shut me down from getting anything in PDX.
I can't believe it, but I am going to visit my wife and chilluns this weekend in Idaho (no work in Spudland) and have rely on the kid who lives down the street to get my meds there (if possible). I have some wiring issues in my nervous system that allow for only 2 choices. I pay $300.00 per month for very harsh prescription meds to stablilze my system and use the herb to take the nastyness away from the medication or I pay $800.00 per month for 3 prescription meds that do the same thing.
With 3 teenage plus children, a stredded-out wife, 2 residences and 2 stupid dogs to feed, guess what I prefer.
My doc in Spudland even said (off the record, of course) that the combination of the herb and the prescription was "remarkably more effective" than the other prescribed solution.
It is a shame that we are where we are, that we have allowed ourselves to be led by the evil that men do through fear, uncertainty, and doubt. We only have ourselves to blame. Don't think for a moment that Obama will be enough.
Sorry, just pissed off about this whole thing. And still no guarantee of relief.
Zippy.
