Newly opened secret files reveal that in 1957,two US fighter planes were ordered to shoot down a UFO over England...
On radar it seemed as big as "a flying aircraft carrier",spent periods motionless in the sky and reached estimated speeds of 7,600 mph...

Are you going to reference an article or provide a link, or do we just take your word for it on this? I'm not sure what we are supposed to respond to.

Usually with a Current Events thread, you either make a comment on something that everyone is already talking about, or you provide a link to an article reporting the event and then comment on it.

Usually with a Current Events thread, you either make a comment on something that everyone is already talking about, or you provide a link to an article reporting the event and then comment on it.

Sorry fellas,

I'm an old fart who's not very handy with a computer...When I'm told to copy/paste,I think of carbon paper and elmer's glue...I got the UFO article from the NY POST...

Well, yeah. I could go look it up, but usually if you want someone to talk about something, you give it to them, not expect them to go looking for it! Ha ha! But you are right --- what you said about pasting the first sentence into Google is a good way to look up something like that.

Thanks for the link. That is an interesting story. I wonder what the hell it was. If he had launched his rockets, the UFO would probably have beamed down its armies of alien soldiers, and we would all be working in the plutonium mines of Zorlak ... those of us that survived, that is.
