Well, its finally time for me to get started on my first growing endeavor. Ive tried to do as much reading up as I can, so I want be bombarding you guys with the typical "noob" questions (there will still be some rest assured). Without farther(or further idk which too lazy and messed up to look it up or remember*digression*) ado I present you with my cabinet grow.
Heres my setup:

24"H 17"W and 21"D I included the seemingly, innocent front view of the cabinet, side view, and the inside w/ some shady carpentry work as you'll see. I know i have some space restraints and initially I wanted to grow two plants, but have decided to start 1 and after a 2 week veg, germ another to compensate for the restraints.
Tommorow, I will go out and get some cool 24 watt cfls and some y adapters for the 3 socket vanity fixture.
And for flower Ill have either 3x 42 watt 2700k warm bulbs or one 42 watter, cause I already bought that:), and 4x 24 watt warm cfl's
I plan on picking some soil up tommorow. If i cant find anything not pre-nuted ill just get some MG and flush it exstensively. I used some soil I had out in the shed as it seemed relatively decent and added some dolomite lime to correct any ph issues with that. It has cow manury, sand and perlite for drainage, so I thought that should work at least for the initial pre-flower until I get the new soil.

As for ventilation and temps/humidity...
I have just some fan I found that will exhaust the air (80cfm i think), until I make it to the nearest home depot, to get an inline duct fan for its stealthiness. I plan on drilling some holes and attaching a comp fan over the holes for some intake of fresh air. Im worried about plugging the light leakage that will cause, as im trying to keep this as stealth as possible and dont want any damn hermies.
The temp is 69F withouth the lights running and 92% humidity, so it seems Ill have to adjust to compensate for the high humidity. Should I just leave that wall cut out or what i plan on doing is attachin some sort of barrier via velcro and have ventilation through that to keep it low-key.

I may not have covered everything I initialy wanted to, but Im currently incapable of adding all these things up to get my desired sum.:stoned:

Let me know what yall think and any suggestions/criticism's welcome. Just keep it relevant, as im quite aware possibly none of this will make sense. Good night im beat!

Oops, forgot to add

Ill be growing PPP, heard nothing of great things about it and highly promoted by stinky so Its good enough for me. Will be using lst from early age to promote low vertical height.

So ya, tell me what you think and problems I will face and how to deal with em. Thanks so much!

:thumbsup:Thanks bro. I intend on going to the home depot and picking a near silent fan once I get the monies together. After I signed off and when I was in the room whilst dark I noticed that light leaks were coming out the drawers and I sealed those up pretty good with some silicone..I decided Im gonna put a wall up where that hole is to prevent light leakage, bc its just a glowing mess through that cupboard right nowm, lol.

Good luck on your grow, as well. Ive taken some things from that thread that ill need to incorparate to ensure a success.

Just realized I cant germ another seed in two weeks, cause when I switch the lights to flower the later plant will still be in veg state and i dont have another area to veg that one.

So, should I just go ahead and start the second plant? Or wait two weeks and the second plant will go 12/12 from seed. Take into consideration i probably only have room for one plant. Im going to lst to try and keep them low, but I probably only have enough room for one and this is my first time, so ill just see how it goes and learn.

hi zihowie, good to meet you and i hope to enjoy watching, and maybe
helping, as you learn to grow your own.

that being said, you need to start catching up on all the stuff you don't know.
try to understand that no-one here is paid to help you and any that do so, do
it with a true spirit of sharing. they, we, also want to see just how willing
you are to help yourself because the answers to all of the questions that you
will ask for the next year at least, are already here.

i'm not saying to not ask questions either, just that if you do some more
research, you'll not only ask better questions, you'll earn some respect as well

anyway, here are links to a few of the threads that have been instrumental
in my own success
lol, believe me, this is only a very few of the many, many great threads here
i know it looks like a lot but you have to remember
'a journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step'

have fun grasshopper

Thanks for the welcome man. Over the past month or so ive read as much as I can, visiting this site daily to check progress on other's grows and setups. And dont think im a selfish stoner, there are plenty of em. But im all for the sharing and graciousness of this special herb and will smoke/give herb to almost anyone, be it i have the means.
Thank you very much for stopping in and I hope I can put up some good bud porn to add to the collection.
As of now, I have two PPP seeds germing and should be germinated in the next day. Ill get back with some pics in a few days

2 out of the 2 seeds are successfully germinating.

I already planted one that was germin a day ahead bout a 1/4 -1/2 inch in soil 2 inches away from 2 26 watt blue cfls and a 42 watt red cfl. Other seeds has popped and I can see the tap root coming out and will plant the second seed later.

Soil is exper gardner potting soild i believ- 4.97+tax at walmart
Flushed with 2+ cups of water. Soil is 10-.08-.06

Until this Friday I wont have any money to allocate to this, soooo....

Im without ventilation, but temp is steady at 81-82 F, so that should be fine for the next days. I will get a comp fan at radio shack for intake and an inline duct fact at the home depot for exhaust.

Also, I will get some y adapters and a couple more cool cfls for my short veg time and some warm cfls for my flower.

Look like you did your homework, read a lot, I've did that too for my first grow (my old dream in my signature). Good idea to germinate the other seed right now ! You now really have a chance to have 1 female plant, always 50% chances of being a male. For the ventilation, I'm with you on the exhaust fan but you could make a passive intake. Humidity can, later on, be a problem if it don't go down... When flowering there is a high risk of mold with such %, just hope the fan will get it down.

Good that you read a lot, I've did that too before starting and I got great results.
The humidity you got there can really be a problem, at the veg part you should be all right but when flowering it's a nice invitation for mold. So you need to get ventilation there, personally I see no need for an active intake, you could only have an exhaust. Good idea to germinate some other seeds, don't forget you have 50% chances of each sex... You're getting on the right track, keep reading and keep us posted !

I misunderstood the tap root DOWN part, partly cause the last time I took a venture into growing (didnt last long thats why i call this the first) I planted the casing down and it came up just fine. So i just adjusted that and the other seed is starting to shoot its tap root out and Ill try to put that down side.
Thanks for tuning in and Ill have some pics up in a few days once the first set of leaves come in.
