Hi All !!
I am no political commentator, so I try to keep my political ideas to myself.
I do read the threads here but refrain from any input, I just donâ??t want to get sucked into the mud slinging.
With the election less than a month away I thought a little input couldnâ??t hurt.:D
It worries me that I canâ??t get good information on the candidates without having to listen to the reporters' twisted political views. What is so scary, is I know people are listening and are taking what they here as facts. I listen to Fox, MSNBC, CNN, and I also hear what Headline News has to say. I will watch one until I feel the need to puke then switch to the next. I also spend a bit of time checking the supposed fact on the net.
The networks are really doing nothing but spreading propaganda for who ever they get in line behind. I guess the NEWS isnâ??t the News anymore, just commentary and entertainment. This wouldnâ??t be too alarming but I have had people speak with me and they have stated misinformation that they heard and they honestly believe what they are saying.
I am sure you have all seen the clip of a woman who stated she is scared of Obama because he is an Arab. This is a great example of the media not doing their job. BTW,I thought Senator McCain handled that really well. Itâ??s one thing to bring out real information to make your point but totally wrong to back the lies. I have been told that Senator Obama is a terrorist, and also a Muslim, both statements are lies. The media tries to play some sort of Guilt by Association Game, that shouldnâ??t be their job. Stating the facts about Senator Obamaâ??s relationship with William Ayers doesnâ??t make him a terrorist. Stating the facts about Senator McCains relationship with G.Gordon Liddy doesnâ??t make him a terrorist or a crook either.
Playing the Voter Fraud card is a very old trick. I see where Senator McCain is really worried about it, and it looks as if Senator Obama is equally worried. If the states do their job there should be no problems. Looking back it does seem something would have been done by now, to ensure an honest election we have known there was a problem for at least 8 years
Our elections are not perfect but they have been working for Our Great Country for a long time now.
Donâ??t believe everything you hear, itâ??s easy to check the facts. If we all start spouting unsubstantiated statements we look like fools.
To me it looks as if the media are trying to play us as fools.
Go with the issues that are important to you. The economy, unemployment, foreign relations, who has a better idea about Medical Marijuana. Take a good look and donâ??t forget about Governor Palin and Senator Biden. One will be next in line to help America Stay the Greatest Nation of all.
Get out there and Vote, one of them will soon be our new leader. :hippy:
