I'm contemplating constructing a sealed room with a co2 gen, but dont have a G to burn on a chiller or stand alone ac. I have a window unit that I think is 15000 btu, will this be adequite to cool 3 1kw air cooled lights? I planned on having the lights sealed up good, and running air through them, but still going for the sealed room/co2 method? If not, I will do the grow the old fashoned way, and just do my best with the co2 and a climate controller.
Please help, the only sealed grows I've seen online have rediculous ac uinits or chiller, just wondering if the window unit could suffice.

The window unit would probably work fine but you can't just put it in the room. The rear has to be hung outside the room. AC's generate more heat than they do cooling.

The window a/c that you have will cool up to 4 1000kv lights just fine (especially since yours are vented) and it will double as a dehumidifier. The downfall to these units are their energy consumption. I have a 12,000 BTU unit and it draws 11.5 amps! I invested in a 3 fan chiller and now have 3 more lights going with the same electrical bill as i had when using the a/c unit. I love my swamp chiller. Peace.

do the swamp chillers use lots of water constantly. I share a well with neighbors, and also do you run a sealed room?
thanks

my local hydro store has a nice stand alone unit for about 500... that being said your unit should work. but in order to keep things sealed ive installed these in pre-rooms then attached ducting to the ac unit to bring the cold air from the pre room the the grow room.
good luck
