Growing with LED lights?

I'm looking into getting a 300watt LED light that says it covers 50 sq ft from High Power LED Grow Lights from Sunshine Systems : Home (http://www.sunshine-systems.com)

do those LED lights really work? can I grow using just LEDs? all LEDs?

yea I see like 1 or 2 people with threads they have 100s of pages, its too disorganized for me, can someone just answer these questions strait up?

I know people here use LEDs, but it conflicts with other things I've seen, like you only get 1/3 yield under LEDs compared to HPS

is that untrue?

is 300 watts really equivalent to like 1000+ watt hps?
