I recently posted an update on my current grow (http://boards.cannabis.com/hydroponics/161470-my-first-newbie-grow.html) showing closeups of vegetative bud spots ... does the color of the leaves look ok? The tips look fine but it looks like there's some neon coloring ... can it just be the strain? Or is this the start of a bigger problem to come?

I'm also including an overall shot for perspective.

Fill out the troubleshooting form. I think you have a pH problem on the high side that is causing crinkles and locking out Mg.

I think the only problem I see is that those plants are NOT in my grow room.......and that's where I want them. Could we work on that issue please? :D

E-indoor or outdoor Indoor
E-soil, soilless, coco, aero, or hydroponic Hydro
E-specific medium HydroTon
CSL-Soil type/brand
HCL-Hydro/aero/soilless system type Auto Drip, 5x per day for 15min
SCL-Anything you have added to the soil
SCLR-Soil or slab runoff pH
E-Water source Tap
E-Source water pH 6.1
HRT-Source water EC (if hydro)
E-Age of plant 45 days
E-Type of fertilizer Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow and Liquid Karma
E-Rate of application (if hydro, this is your PPM number, preferably after each component is added) full strength; 1200ppm (1500 w/ tap +-300)
E-Lighting source and distance from plant 600w MH, 20" from tops
E-Air temperature (both day and night if you are running a dark period) 65-85F
HD-Reservoir temperature
E-Air % Relative humidity 40%
E-Lighting schedule 18/6
E-Type of ventilation your room has oscillating fan, passive intake (4" vortex inline fan)
TR-Did you pre-soak your media in pH corrected solution? yes / sort of

side note, I flush w/ PH'd water when changing reservoir (once every 2 weeks) in hope of preventing a lockout.

So I'm guessing it's not natural for this type of coloration? I was hoping I had some special beans :D The problem is it's happening on one of the bag seeds and one of the white widows

and thanks Stinky! Finally got you to chime in on one of my threads ;)

one final note, I have a slight white fly infestation ... it's safe to use a light strength neem oil spray, yeah?

I like Don't Bug Me from Fox Farms personally.

Consider adding some sweet to your regimen....your plants will love it.

Maybe I'm slow but I just don't really see a problem there.....fast growth will cause funky wrinkles and stuff on your leaves......you sure it's not just the white flys causing the issue you are seeing?

More pH info. Check your runoff pH, and you have not said WHAT pH you are running.
When you say 'sort of' soaked, what do you mean?
Your problem looks like a classic example of improperly prepared hydroton. I don't know why the instructions are not on the bag- they SHOULD be. Gotta soak at pH 6 until it stabilizes, about 1-3 days, and then rinse before use. In your case, it's already installed, so you have to adjust your res pH back to 5.8 2x/day until stable.

I actually have a quart of Sweet ... I didn't know when to add it though .. I thought I'd use it during the last week w/o any other nutes? Or should I run the main nutes, LK, *and* Sweet all at the same time?

Not sure about the white flies but I'm also not taking any chances ... we'll see how the Neem oil does ... I'll be back on here asking more ?'s if the flies don't go away!

sorry, meant to say I'm running the res @ 6.1 PH ... the tap water is mid 7's. The runoff is also steady at 6.1

I rinsed/soaked (a lot) w/ non-ph'ed water but then flushed w/ PH ... so most likely the flush didn't really affect the higher PH'ed rinse.

I think you're 100% correct. I've added PH down to 5.9 ... i'll check the res later tonight and add more PH down accordingly. I've learned my lesson w/ pre-soaking hydroton!

And thanks again Stinky :)
