I keep my mom in soiless mix but a veging female in drip I keep at 5.8 to 6.0 and when blooming my girls I go for 5.5 to 5.8 max.
just for info sake in 10 litres of tap water after adding my DNF it takes about 1.5 full eye droppers to drop my ph to these levels.

For hydro I like 5.6-6.0 and can't say I've ever had troubles at that ph. I personally think 6.5 is too high for hydro.
Cool chart Treetops!!

Centering at 5.8-6.0 and allowing swing ~0.2 pH points off center works well.
