Howdy all!!,

For this grow I'm gonna try SweetSeeds JACK47(fem)-Jack Herer x AK47
This is my first time growin' this strain...

Started them off in pro-mix,perlite,earthworm castings,and a touch of dolomite lime and foxfarm peace of mind...

One sprout showed herself last night,the other was up when I got home from work today...

I'm "DAVE the RAVE" and I'll be your host...Grab a seat and a cold one and I'll do my best to put on a good show...:420thought:

You know it bro...Gotta do a little maintenance in the the other closet...I gotta give that area a good scrub and replace the mylar with that reflective stuff from Sunleaves...It's a mylar fabric that can be wiped clean when it gets cruddy...The sprouts are under a 200Watt CFL in the "batter's box" for now...

Had a similar night....but fell asleep in my bed.....woke up with like a 12 pack of heineken on my computer desk.....

The dogs name is Hippo.....hes like 120lb blue fawn pitbull......he a offspring of razors edge and camolot's duke.....both grandchampion pitbulls.....ive had him since hes been 4 week and had to bottle fed him for 2 months....he was 95 lb at 6 months and since then hes on a strict diet....thnks hes the best dog in the world and lets my son beat him and bite him.....wacks him with golf clubs.....with no anger what so ever! Hes one of three pits i own!

Jack47 3rd week flowered...Plant on the right has been a real pain in the ass...She has a mutant leaf but seems to be stablizing...I was so unsure of this plant that I germed a SuperSilverHaze just in case I had to run something else to catch up to the plant on left...

Howdy all,:)

I've decided to update my "JACK47" grow log on Saturdays instead of Mondays,(football season and work make this more practical)...
Today is the 26th day veg of this slow growing strain...For sativa doms they sure act like indicas...I'm gonna veg this grow until I think they're big enough to give me the yield I'm lookin' for when I flower them...I'm still not crazy about the plant on the right and she may be replaced by the SuperSilverHaze seedling you see on the far right,in another month...The plants are in 1 1/2 quart pots right now...From there,they'll go into 2 gallon pots and will be flowered in 5 gallon pots...I've replaced my mylar with SunBurst Ultreflect which is awsome...Much easier to work with than mylar but I'm having trouble with it in the backround of my pictures so I've been pointing the camera down...When the plants get bigger,I should be able to get some straight shots...Also got a new #33 Can filter which I customized with a 4" flange...

New to indoor, I thought they were sickly....compared to trees I had outside of 15 + feet. No one seems to have such big gals, there must be a reason. Thanks for the input.

Yep,sounds like ya might be veggin to long...Also,the strenth of your grow light/lights play a large factor...Like Dutch always says"Give em enough light,plenty of fresh air on the plants and in between the light and the canopy,feed em correctly,and keep a bottle of "Wild Turkey" around just in case,lol...:thumbsup:

Thanks dooob,I'm probably gonna transplant them into 5's sometime this week...At that time I'll also switch my light system from the 400 to the 600...Gonna veg em a little longer with a 600WATT MH conversion bulb to let em spread some roots...I estimate flippin' in about 10 days...This grow's alot more manageable compared to the OrangeBud which was just out of control...

We finally got our S.A.D / Sweet Afgani Dream = Blk. Dom. from Sweet going here . We got 100 % germ rate . Ours look to be pretty uniform / stable so far like yours seem to be . I really like the 3 seed pks. Sweet sells - I know if I like a strain or not with only doing a cpl. beans , it's nice not to be stuck w/ 7-8 extra beans if ya don't like a paticular strain . It's gonna give me the ability to do alot more strains w/o going broke .

Thankyou KINDLY dlj!!!Yep,I'll be flippin em soon...One setback of having a grow log is always wanting your plants to look chipper for pictures...I've been transplanting to soon for a couple of stages of this grow as root-bound plants aren't as pretty to look at...For this reason I'm trying to hold off a few more days to let em get more root-locked before I transplant...I love the explosive growth of a root-bound plant that all of a suddenly has room to grow...
Good choice with the OrangeBud man...Beyond speedy,bordering on psychosis once it's cured,lol...Can't wait to see ya run it...

We finally got our S.A.D / Sweet Afgani Dream = Blk. Dom. from Sweet going here . We got 100 % germ rate . Ours look to be pretty uniform / stable so far like yours seem to be . A little update...My SS BlackJack beans arrived!!!I figured if they hadn't come by now,they were gone with the wind,but lo and behold here they are...I ordered four 3/packs...What you said about buying seed quantity made alot of sense crispi,but it's different for us in the states...I buy alot more than I need of every strain just in case the bank sells out or changes their mind about where they're going to ship...Cheers to the man across the pond who has come through once again...I never should have doubted ya...:jointsmile:

Now that's a very kind offer and I appreciate your southern hospitality!!!:)I get upstate once in a while and enjoy the tranquility(when my friends aren't shooting the shit out of cans and every other conceivable target,lol)...It's true that I'm a city boy...By choice?,I'm not sure...I think it's more of a case of it being the only thing I know...I have this comical image of us walkin' through the backwoods and hearing some kind of strange noise and I jump into your arms and say"OH MY GOD!!,WHAT WAS THAT!!!",lol...Tell ya this much,when I'm sweating my "you know whats" off,hanging off the side of some building,I'll be thinking nice thoughts of you and your farm...

Right on Rock!!!Your question was a good one...My tiers are a little higher than "Bushy Old Growers",so I think of this transplant method as "ExtremeBOG" and it really works...When this grow is done the bottom tier will be root locked,but this way the roots had alot more room to run which made for larger plants...:rasta:

I agree Shov...I use a 200Watt CFL in another closet that I call the batter's box for seedlings and small plants waiting to step up to the plate in the main closet...The only way they'd be in the batters box longer than 2 weeks is if they're waiting for another grow to finish,but this is rare...I do the majority of my veggin' with a 400WATT MH conversion bulb and switch to a 600WATT MH conversion bulb the last week of veg...The next time I post pics they'll have been flipped to 12/12 with a 600Watt HPS...

Just wanted to correct my veg time...The plants were vegged for 8 weeks and 1 day which totals 57 days...Small detail,but it's driving me nuts!!!Never get stoned and do math...In my head,I multiplied 7x8 and came out with 56...Then I multiplied 8x8 and came out with 64,but the only 8 day weeks are in that Beatle's song...Fkn OrangeBud...:stoned:

If I had to choose between those 3 strains,I'd go with the Opium,but they're three different types of smoke...All are top shelf...:jointsmile:

Hey whatssup TDaddy!!!Thanks man!!!The supilmental bulb you see is a 400WATT ChromeDome with built in reflector...I use it when outside temps are cold enough to let me get away with it(about 40 degrees or colder)...In the summertime I have a 25000 BTU AC going 24/7 and have to walk around the apt. with sweat shirt/pants in July,but it's still not cool enough for me to use my sup ChromeDome...For safety reasons,I always shut this light down if I'm going out...
I shut the 600 off ,took away the ChromeDome,and moved fans for a moment so you could get a better look...Can you or anyone else spot another secret weapon I'm using on this grow...

They've been getting nothing but plain water with 1tsp of molasses and 1 tbs Sweet for about 2 weeks...I FinalFlushed em last night...Gonna FinalFlush em one more time before harvest...I'm harvesting Friday at midnight...:hippy:

Appreciate you lookin' in 4204Life...Won't be able to give you a final weight as there has never been a scale in this household and I'm not about to start now lol,but I will show ya everything hanging and the box of shake when I'm done trimming...What ever strain you pick hope your grow is trouble free with buds that drip with THC!!!:D

OK,lets wrap this JACK47 grow up...I harvested at 64.5 days...Those of you who know me will agree this is not one of my bigger harvests,but for two plants that didn't grow 3' tall,I'm not complaining...That's the strain game,lol...:)

Thanks again 4204Life...As I said earlier,I never weigh my harvest...I don't own a scale and have no need for one as I give away at least half of every harvest no matter what my results are...Considering how short the plants were,I'm happy with the yield...I especially recommend this grow to growers looking for med grade smoke who have height restrictions in the grow room...:)

Good smoke that's still curing...I have no idea of how much...Somewhat less than a usual harvest but enough for me to share the way I do and still have plenty on reserve...I recommend this grow and all SweetSeeds genetics...
