OK guys... so here is my first home setup for the winter and my 2nd cannabis grow.

My first grow was some bag seeds. 2 females and a male outdoor during the summer which yielded 1 oz of one of the females and loads of seed from the other female which are used for this grow!..

In this grow Ill be using a small cabinet to grow 1-2 females to harvest starting with 3 28w CFLs for veg and upgrading to more CFLs as needed.
The cabinet is about 1 ft sq. X 1 ft sq. and with height of 2 ft.
when the plants will reach the max hieght for this cabinet Ill transfer to my bigger grow cabinet which has 5 ft height.
Will be using basic soil that I got at the local plant shop (used it for the outdoors and had great results).
no money for nutes for now but planning on gettin some fox farm from a hydro shop in a town 40 min away from my place.
OK I think thats it haha... any questions feel free to ask!
LETS GET GROWINNNN :rastasmoke:

pic.2 - the other streched growth
pic.3 - my setup for now.. used alot of books to lift those guys close enough to the lights!
are they too close? too far? how far should i keep them for now?

Looks like you're off to a good start. You could probably put them about 2 inches from the light if you have good air flow. That should minimize the stretch.
Oh one of my babies kept it's leaves pointed up for a couple of weeks. It turned out to be a self topper. That would be cool if yours did it too :)

Thanks for stopping by dilhole!

I've no proper ventilation right now so when I keep the plant close to the light it starts to get yellow spots from the heat(that is my guess).. Gonna get some good ventilation and more lights soon tho!

I really hope it gonna be self topper haha will save me the first stress!

don't worry about the stretch right now, you can remedy any stretching
with your first transplant. also, at this stage, you don't need much light
for those seedlings. you can worry about adding more light after they're
firmly established

you're absolutely gonna need some ventilation in your cabinet, maybe a
pc fan or two might be enough, or maybe not.

as to the heat of the lights, hold your hand up to the bulb, when your hand
starts to feel hot, that's too close for your plants.

and don't take it personal if no-one has responded yet, you're new here so
people don't know you yet and so don't know if you're gonna be around in a
week or so. you'd be surprised at how many noob's lose interest.

anyway, just keep doing what you're doing and just keep posting, with plenty
of pics, and people will soon come around.

in truth, they're already here, they came by, saw where you're at, saw you
didn't need any immediate help and so they moved on to help others more
in need.

believe me, there are many experienced growers here who put in a tremendous
amount of time helping people so don't be offended, try instead to relax,
knowing that when you really need them, they will be there for you too.

OK guys so only 1 sprout out of 3 left from the first start(which is day 13 now)... the baby is growing fine, started some LST for practice on it today tho I dunno if the results will be useful at this stage of growth (this is a question)

The other seeds I planted sprouted at a rate of 7/10. the 7 fastest were kept and the last three were sent to sprout outside in my garden.
watered them today with some water and they are looking good

alright enough of the bullcrap haha here are some pictures:

pic1 - dedicated to the 3 sprouts that are going growin outside :rastabanna:
pic2 - my green garden is filling with sprouts :rastasmoke::jointsmile:
pic3 - babies on the right
pic4 - babies on the left
pic5 - their big sister LSTed for the first time today

guys I need some comments about my LST. am doing it right? is it any use doing it at this stage?

I'm not too aware about LST... This seems allright, I'm just not too sure if they are too young or not for this, hope someone with experience on the subject pass by. The log is starting really nicelly, I'll follow up and try to help you next time.

hmm I red somewhere that you can start LST when the plant is like 1.5-2 weeks old(which it is) so I decided to try it myself. like use this big guy for practice before I start the real thing on the other guys which I must say are growin in a pretty good rate!

too young for LST, wait a couple weeks

You typically want to wait to LST till there are 4-5 nodes present...so def. too early to start......instead of LST at this young stage, get a small fan to constantly blow air over them; that will thicken up the stems.

mm I'm not sure yet if I want to have a fan in there moving air around
I wast think more of a passive pressure with an exhaust fans at the top and an intake fan/hole at the bottom.
That will give me much lower temps then putting in a fan to just move the hot air around.
Temps are the most important factor of micro grows I guess

My point in this LST is to practice so Ill be ready when the other guys are big enough.
Ill probably let the other sprouts grow till I can top them and then LST them couple days after topping for the first time.

while you do need exhaust to control temps, DOUGAL25 is right that adding
a small fan for circulation is also a good idea, as he has said, it helps promote
thicker stronger stems

Thicker stems will just raise the chance a stem will break while lst :P
well this is my todo list for now:
1. build an exaust and intake
2. add more lights
3. add fan and get nutes

lol, don't you want the stems of your plants to be strong
enough to hold up all your fat buds?

do you think people suggest stuff to you for shits and giggles?

do some research man, don't follow anyone's suggestions blindly
but don't just disregard someones suggestions blindly either.

dude wasn't about disregarding it.. I just said it for the laugh..
I know that a fan in there will make stems thicker, seen that in a book back when I only started learning to grow!
so don't see it as disrespect or something I was just joking a little

Alrite guys so a little update on my girls during their veg stage.
They are now growing their 4th set of true leaves.
Today repotted them and topped one of the big ones to experiment my skills.
still the same setup
today after repotting them I realized Im low on grow space so probably in the next few days im going to start building my new grow cab which will be about the same size but much much taller! plus gonna get some more CFLs and proper vent for my new cab..

here are a few pics

i the last pic that is my oldest plant. can anyone tell why is it yellowing on the tips? its getting the same water and its in the same soil and everything like the other plants

OK guys so after a long time with no updates I'm back to my log
My plants have been growing perfectly fine in the last few weeks
I built a new grow space for them for the winter and gave them more CFLs
Now a week ago I finally put them into flowering after aproximatly 25-30 days of growing from seed. I LSTed 2 of the plants and supercropped another 2 plants. all plants are fimmed/topped perfectly(some gave 4 new colas and some 2).
I have 7 plants and one of them I made a midget by not transplanting it at all(for experimental use only)

so for now I already have 3 males!:mad::mad:
and the rest show no sex yet!
Im planning to get upto 3 females
so waiting now for them to show sex to finally transplant them into big pots.

PICS GONNA BE UP TODAY OR TOMMOROW
