Spider mite issues have gone out of hand...been battling organiclly but seems to be to no avail...I have one group that is 1-2 weeks away; another group that has 3-4 weeks; and another that has 4-5weeks left before harvest...and an infestation has exploded...what can be done to save me? I have already removed 1 that was covered and smothered... I have used a neem/insecticide spray regularly..I also have used a mix of 90% alcohol and water misted on them to aid in killing some( which does work some) I have even used alcohol wipes to remove mites from leaves( takes forever) I have been battling them for a minute now ..Thought i had em beat( recently purchased the lady bugs as a precautionary measure( almost had the problem solved...or thought i did) ..I also have placed ladybugs in the rooms aswell... but within a 2 day time I came back to find an explosion of biblical proportions...but the infestation is to large and I need to do something before everything is to far gone. Any suggestions could be helpful. Is it to late in the cycle for the pest strips? I really dont want to start over at this point. Please Help

:( :wtf:

here's some advice that worked for me, i swear by the no-pest strips

Well if you've read the threads much you should know what to do, but I guess I'll say it once again.

No pest strip
insecticide bombs
Avid
Spider mite destroyers (beneficial insect)

The first on the list is the easiest, and works like a charm 9 times out of 10. If it doesn't work, you are not using enough or you didn't turn down your ventilation for a couple days, or your particular mite has developed a resistance to Dichlorvos.

The last on the list is extremely expensive, but you can use it right up until harvest. I would at least double the recommended dosage if you want it to be sure to work. Triple if you have a bad infestation, which doesn't take long if you don't keep it in check.

Anything other than what's on the list will not get rid of the mites, but some things like neem oil are used to help with control.

NOTE: Kill them quick. They spread fast.

The groups within 3 weeks of harvest, add wind, drop temps, and vacuum the colas daily with a hand held dustbuster where you see webs. Really. You can attract mites to the tops of colas by putting a desk lamp right down close to one. They love the heat and dry air, and will congregate on the highest, warmest spots on your plants.
Other plants may be sprayed with pyrethrin. Or bomb the room twice with a product like Doktor Doom, spacing the treatments 2 days apart.

thanks for the advice...nature has seemed to aided me this time... Temps have begun to fall naturally thus aiding in the slowing of the little bastards...and i guess the other day when i wiped them down and also sprayed them down with alcohol/water mix helped dramatically... I did place a no pest strip near the fresh air intake...and within 6-8 hours the ladybugs that I could not get out were dead... The strips seem to be doing something...and the little bastards are not multiplying at the rate the were..they actually seem to be dying off... I have only had it in use for 24 hours...and I only plan to use this for a couple more days before placing it in a sealed bag for later use...what are the opinions on using this item near the end of the blooming cycle....and I know the dichlovowhatevers in high concentrations can be dangerous...but will there be any rements in the plant matter or will it be used up or not absorbed...

i hung my no-pest strip up near the lights and i've just left it there for the
last 2 months and believe me, no bugs.
during that time i've harvested about an ounce a week of some really tasty
bud. the no-pest strips have left no after taste or any other detrimental
side effects that i can tell.

anyway, i think they're great. Thanks Opie !
