how far away should i keep the 600w hps away from the soil after the gaemination?

i have a 600w hps which i have to use streight after the germination does anyone know the distance i should keep between the light and the seed please

600 watts after germination!!! yikes.. you better keep that 3 feet away... it still may kill your plant.. Can't you use a cheap 5 dollar flor from the hardware stor for the first 7-14 days...

you'll be glad you did.

that 600watt is so strong.. and hot.. if you insist on using it you better put it at least 3 feet away and sprinkle the soil with water twice a day. And blow a fan at your light to blow the heat away..

Local growers use 400 to 1000 watt to grow from seed/clone to finish. Start at three feet then lower to two feet after 4 to 6 days.
