First off i wanna say that this board has been so helpful to me, i started this grow in July and found answers to all of my questions and problems just by searching until now :) Anyways.....I started flowering my 2 female plants about 4 days ago and had some questions. Hers my lighting setup:
2-4' T12's Red spectum
2-4' T8's Red spectrum
2- CFL's
I also have the sun hitting the plants directly for about 5 hours a day. I have Mylar everywhere also.

So my questions is, do i need more light to flower these plants? I know flouro's arent the best for flowering and im in the process of buying a HPS light soon but i just cant afford to buy one right now. I'm planning on adding one more set of T8's also for the back side. Strain is unknown from GOOD bagseed, Thanks in advance for your help!

HID lighting is the best for cannabis. A 400 watt HID is better than 250 watt. A 600 is better than 400, a 1000 is better than 600.......IF you can control the HEAT....otherwise it will fry, plants.

Worse thing about floros and CFL's...plants stretch too much, usually.

They do look nice so far...

while i agree with Dutch, HID light is much better, you can still definately
flower with those lights you already have. the buds won't be as big, or as
dense, but you will like smoking them, lol

i use CFL's myself because of budgetary constraints and, while i wish i had
the dough to throw down on a 400watt HPS, i've grown some killer buds
from some bagbeans with nothing but CFL's

also, heat is an issue with fluoro's as well so put your hand near the bulbs
and if they feel hot to you, they will burn your plants. i only say that 'cause
i see in your pics that the leaves are touching the tubes.

check out my imaginary garden to see what i've done with nothing but CFL's

Thanks for the replies guys! I think i'll keep this setup for this grow and switch to a 250 HPS on the next one, i'll keep everyone updated on the progress, thanks again! :rasta:
