New to the site and new to growing, so here it goes.
I have one plant, a bagseed clone, in a 2.5-3 gal. pot, under a 2ft x 4ft screen. What I want to know is can I fill the screen with just this one plant without the worry of it becoming root bound during flowering? The screen right now is about 50% full with around 50-70 budsites. It is on its 5th week in veg. and doing great but I don't want to loose out on yield at harvest due to lack of root space. Any help would be great!

jdsoil - in stinky's n00b guide to growing the dankness (post #94 or 95) is where i found that "1 gallon/foot of main stem" thing. i know now it doesn't apply to your branchy bastard, but just a reference point.

yup.

i'd tend to believe what stink says. obv as you are screening you won't have vertical height but you'll have the equavilent through the threading. i would guesstimate how tall it is. you might want to get a 3 or 5 gal bucket just to be sure. the seem to be plenty big for plants.

My main stem is about one foot but I have 3 other branches that are just as thick and long as the main one. Do I count these as well? SCROGer's please help!!!

I consider a 3 gallon/10 inch pot; to be the minimun size for flowering. IMO. It's big enough.

My pot is 12 inches, what is the gallon equivalent? I am assuming I will be good to go(grow). Thanks for the responses, it help me sleep better at night...lol

Hey

I'm currently scrogging single plant in a 20L container about 5 gallon, its a clear plastic container, i put her in 2 weeks ago - her growth has exploded in those two weeks and i'm already seeing roots pushing up against the side, I reckon in another two to three weeks i'll be ready to flower her and I'm thinking of putting her into a 40L or 10G pot to flower, root system has a massive impact on bud development, and its not worth losing grams because your pot is to small!
