The same argument can be made for almost any politician...especially Bush. You want to talk about gibberish, stupid comments, look no further than Bush. Obama always struck me as having a bit more intellect than your average politician.

Ha ha! This is why McCain is losing. He has nothing to run on, so he and his supporters spend their time grasping at bogus associations from the past. Their strategy is not to talk about how McCain has anything to offer, because there is nothing there, so they spend their time trying to tear down the opposition. It's worked in the past, but it's failing now.
Of course if we need to talk about past associations, this one picture says it all for me. This is called a Maverick Chest Snuggle. Oh Bush! I love the smell of your power! You make me feel so warm and Mavericky! Hold me close, Bushy! Hold me!:

k well that would be relevant if bush was running for prez this election.... You can say all u want about Obama, I think hes in way over is head here....for the record im no racist, but as an American president Barack Hussein Obama just isn't going to cut it for me..Cant figure out why so many ppl want a guy that is of muslim decent, has studied the koran (the book that says kill all nonbelievers), attended a muslim school...etc to be our president.

Obama is the Anti-President, the true Manchurian candidate, he's also a clone
of a 1960's era Democrat, actually even more liberal than that.
and Psycho4Bud, you might not be laughing as much as you think if he gets
elected. with him in office we'll have half the population working for the
'gubmint' and the other half on welfare, with rioting in the streets.
shit man, anybody with money will move somewhere else and take thier
cash with them.
and dragonrider, if you think that McCain and his supporters spend their time
grasping at bogus associations from the past, you're just flat wrong, do some
research, check Obama's voting record, shit man, watch tonight's debate,
don't just fall for the Democratic party line.
the truth is, the democrats have stalled everything in the House and in the
Senate these last 8 years in an effort to make Bush look bad so that they
can retake power. that's all it is for all these politicians, dems and reps alike,
there all a bunch of prostitutes in suits.
the thing is, do we want to gamble with our freedom and elect a man with questionable ties (many of them) and no experience?
i for one feel safer with John McCain.

If you actually cared to look at either McCain or Obama voting records, between them, they have so many no votes, you wonder if they were even there.
Also McCain has no executive experience. His campaign advisor received a $15000 a month stipend from a lobby firm, which is far more substanciated than any of these claims about Obama's connections.
I also think this entire post is quite loony, usually the left write similar kind of the world is going to end scenarios.

lol, i have to wonder why so many prominent democrats are publicaly supporting McCain.
do the math, $15,000.00 a month is only $180,000.00 per year, lol, even
Barrie Obama doesn't think that's 'rich'.
i don't know about you but my grandparents taught me many years ago that
if it sounds too good to be true it's probably not true. which makes me wonder
exactly what kind of new math is gonna make it possible for him to
give 95% of us a tax break.
did it ever occur to you that if you were one of the 5% expected to pay
for these tax cuts you might decide to move to, oh, i don't know, maybe
Bali, or Tahiti or someplace else that doesent take half your money.
oh yeah, btw, you've seen the clips of Rev. Wright i assume? according
to Obama, he never heard the good reverand say anything like what we see
in that clip. are you gonna tell me that at all the sermons, and all the church
events, all the family dinners over at the Wrights house, or when the Wrights
visited the Obamas, over the course of more than 20 years, the good Rev.
never said any of those things so Obama could hear him?
lol, come on man, they were friends for petes sake, of course he would let
his hair down with the Obamas, they were pals, they were of like minds.

Ha ha! Dude, what do you call this thread if not grapsing at bogus associations from the past? Is this thread related to issues? I guess I missed the issues part. Our economy is melting down, and this is the kind of crap we are talking about?
My point was that this line of attack is BS, and this is really all the McCain is empahasiszing these days. My post of the picture is s joke to make a point that anyone can play this stupid game. Oh, Bush! Put your arms around me! You can call me Maverick, and I will call you Goose! Never leave your wingaman Goose! It is about as relevant as the videos in the original post.
My feeling is that if McCain pursues this kind of campaign, he is going to lose for sure (not that he has much chance at this point with ANY strategy he uses.) People just plain do not care about this. It is getting no traction. McCain is wasting his time. People are concerned about just about everything else in their lives but this, so if McCain wants ignore people's concerns so he can pursue something that no one but him and the already converted care about, he deserves to lose.
Oh, Bush! Will you still love me if I lose, Bush?

for some of us integrity is an issue, you wouldn't want a thief watching

and the Democratic financial philosphy just doesn't work, somebody
has to pay
if Obama wins we're in for the greatest depression of all time. that's why the

The $15000 was paid by a lobbyist firm set-up by Freddic Mac that lobbied against stricter regulation. That is by far more damning against any of the shit you have against Obama. Also, it's substanciated by paper trails in the media, unlike any of those claims which are only possibilities of influence.

I, for one, don't feel like being drafted to get sent to the hell hole desert of Iran is being safer. But you're most likely out of the age range, so you dont have to worry, huh?
Trust me, if McCain is president, we have more war, simple as that. More Americans will die, the Middle East will NOT be stabilized because they DON'T want democracy as much as we'd like to think, and the rest of the world will us even more. War is not the answer to everything like McCain seems to think. There is no "honor" in pointless conflict. McCain is waaaaay too hung up on honor, hence why I never want a soldier as president, their interest is in battle, not peace.

"Hello I'm john mccain, a real true maverick. I am a maverick because I am your friend and you are my friend, my friends. so my friends, let us , my friends, be mavericks together my friends. i am referring to that mel gibson movie "maverick" , it really reminds me of being a fighter pilot, my friends. and my friends, let us not forget that you are my friends and i am your friend, my friend. My friend, barack obama is a terrorist because he knows a man who was once a part of the weatherman underground, my friend, this is very dangerous. and because you, my friends, are my friends, i would be very scared , my friends, if barack obama is our president, my friends, because my friends, he does not know what he is doing my friends. my friends he has no experience my friends, sarah palin and I are mavericks my friends. we will invade countries with no pretense or approval of congress, like my friend george bush. he was a maverick too because he declared war on Iraq without first obtaining proper authorization, my friends. don't you, my friends, want another MAVERICK, my friends, as president, my friends? MY FRIENDS?? MY friends. maverick, my friends.
i'm optimistic that mccain will just drop dead before the election. why? because he's old.

Do you really believe that what the U.S. is doing in Iraq is spreading democracy? You're right to not support the war but don't buy into the false pretext for it either. Check out the description of this book (http://dahrjamailiraq.com/hard_news/archives/iraq/000835.php) written by veterans about their experiences in the war & see if this sounds like spreading democracy to you. Here are some quotes:
"I remember one woman walking by," said Jason Washburn, a corporal in the U.S. Marines who served three tours in Iraq. "She was carrying a huge bag, and she looked like she was heading toward us, so we lit her up with the Mark 19, which is an automatic grenade launcher, and when the dust settled, we realised that the bag was full of groceries. She had been trying to bring us food and we blew her to pieces."
"Something else we were encouraged to do, almost with a wink and nudge, was to carry 'drop weapons', or by my third tour, 'drop shovels'. We would carry these weapons or shovels with us because if we accidentally shot a civilian, we could just toss the weapon on the body, and make them look like an insurgent," Washburn said.
"One time they said to fire on all taxicabs because the enemy was using them for transportation...One of the snipers replied back, 'Excuse me? Did I hear that right? Fire on all taxicabs?' The lieutenant colonel responded, 'You heard me, trooper, fire on all taxicabs.' After that, the town lit up, with all the units firing on cars. This was my first experience with war, and that kind of set the tone for the rest of the deployment."
Vincent Emanuele, a Marine rifleman who spent a year in the al-Qaim area of Iraq near the Syrian border, told of emptying magazines of bullets into the city without identifying targets, running over corpses with Humvees and stopping to take "trophy" photos of bodies. "An act that took place quite often in Iraq was taking pot shots at cars that drove by," he said. "This was not an isolated incident, and it took place for most of our eight-month deployment."
"But on these convoys, I saw marines defecate into MRE bags or urinate in bottles and throw them at children on the side of the road," he stated.
Numerous accounts from soldiers include the prevalence of degrading terms for Iraqis, such as "hajis," "towel-heads" and "sand-s".
Scott Ewing, who served in Iraq from 2005-2006, admitted on one panel that units intentionally gave candy to Iraqi children for reasons other than "winning hearts and minds".
"There was also another motive," Ewing said, "If the kids were around our vehicles, the bad guys wouldn't attack. We used the kids as human shields."
