hey, I'm not familiar with this forum so forgive me if this is not an appropriate question. I have a buddy who grows and is helping me set up my room but isn't going to hold my hand along the way. ...he grows using the SOG technique and after designing my room (on paper) I'm trying to find out info on Sea of green. I'm having trouble because everything on SOG assumes that you basic knowledge about growing buds and i have none. :(

can anyone point me in the direction of a SOG resource that explains everything there is to know? basically like rhizome's thread about building a grow room but for SOG.

first, forget about SOG being a different growing technique, it isn't.
you'll use the same nutes, the same dirt, the same light etc., etc., etc.
caring for your plants will be pretty much the same as 'regular' growing.

what you WILL need to learn is how to clone your plants and how long to veg them before you flower them.

in any event, i'm no expert but you're welcome to check out my imaginary garden
and my cloner thread for some ideas. keep in mind that my threads are not a
definitive source for SOG info, just a documentation of my own fumbling efforts.
(i started my bagseed experiment back in March and, while the budz aren't what
you'd call 'primo', they're better than the sack the seeds came from, and, every
week, i put another 6 plantlets in to flower)
what that means is i haven't had to buy a sack for more than 3 months now,
and with more harvested every week, i'd say my little bagseed experiment is a success.

yea, I don't know why I was thinking that it involved something different. I realized it was the all the same when I thought about it this morning at work. I'm using a box, but I was wondering if SOG is ever done in a room? It seems like every set up that i've seen is in a tiny space. Is there a reason for this?

bozo, I like you cloner - mind if I copy it?

dutch, thanks for the link.

i'm sure the answer to your question is a resounding yes, it has been
done in a room. that's one of the beauty's of SOG, you can scale it up or
down to fit your individual needs, from 1 plant per week to 1000 plants

lol, shit no, i don't mind, that's why i posted it, to share with you
what i've learned from my research and the help i've found here.
what's great about this type of cloner is that it can be scaled up or down,
again, depending on your needs

and Dutch, lol, i still got your back man
(i'll explain my disappearing act in my thread rather than cluttering
this thread)
