Hey, I've been interested in getting a volcano and i think im finally gonna breakdown and buy one. Now i want to figure out if its worth it to pay the $670 for the digital volcano instead of the 540$ for the dial one. If im already gonna be paying over 500$ i dont have a problem paying another 130 for the digital version...but is it worth it??

Have any of you tried the Digital volcano ?

The Digit is slightly more accurate- 1.5 vs. 5 degrees C plus/minus. You get auto shutoff and the display but lose a year's warranty. Functionally, there's no real difference. You won't get more or better vapor. It wouldn't be worth an additional $130 for me, especially with the lesser warranty-more complicated=more to go wrong. You'll have to decide if the extra features are worth it to you.

dude, you can buy them used, just as good as new. here's a site to checkout:

www.cheapvolcanovaporizer.com (http://www.cheapvolcanovaporizer.com)

my buddy snagged his for 360 shipped. works just as good as my brand new classic. i'd recommend sticking with the the classic, apart from lookin cooler and being slower to heat than the classic not much special about the digital.

i've tried the digital and apart from the fancy display there is NO additional value in terms of you still get the same quality vapor and effect as a classic. as mentioned before it's only an extra piece that can break even though these things are great quality.

i'd also seriously consider getting one used, these things are built like tanks. just make sure it hasn't been abused/dropped. use the 300 extra you want to spend on a new one at your local burrito shop. :)

-Extra accuracy in temp, perfect for finding different vapor levels.
-Digital read out is great to know exactly what temp I'm at and great for vaping in the dark.
-Auto shut off has come in useful many times when I've left it on.
-My friend owns the Classic and mine seems quieter which is nice but not a major decision factor.
-In a radio interview Storz & Bickel did with the Dopefiend (show was dedicated to a Volcano Digit review ) they said there are other upgrades but they can't talk about all because they are scientific and relate to patented technology issues which is understandable .
-Overall performance is pretty identical to the Classic.
I say if you have extra coin and wan what you pay for, get the digit. Best "paraphernalia" I ever purchased .
