ive been looking into "bubbleponics" and im wondering how much a live well aerator would work in addition to a air pump/stone.

More aeration is good- up to a point where it is excessive. There are larger reservoir aerators that you can get for a hydro res; thye might be much cheaper than a well aerator since the well ones are designed with outdoor 4-season use in mind and are apt to be rather overengineered for an indoor application.
