I found some old seads that have to be at least 10 years old. I have used two different techniques. First i tried to use my Aerogarden and then tried soaking in water. I know these seeds were very good. I just wish i can get these boogers to open.
any ideas out there?

Try putting them in a damp paper towel. Make sure light cannot get through to them. Then, find a dark spot to put them in. Give them a couple days before you check on them. If the paper towel is dry, give it a little water to dampen it. It always works for me...

Yes, a good technique to use with old seeds is planting by the moon's signs.
I have had great success with this method. It can easily be another facet to any other techniques you uses.
I have a thread posted in Advanced Techniques forum if you'd like to try it. Let me know if it helps!

Another good method would be to put the seeds in a shot glass half filled with bottled water for 12 to 24 hours(make sure they're floating, under water is a no no)...Then put them in between damp paper towels in a tupperware or those plastic chinese takeout containers with the cover offset about an inch...Make sure they're warm...I live in a coop apt. where the heat isn't on 100% of the time...For this reason my favorite place to germinate is in the bathroom...If it feels like the environment seems a little cool for germination,I just turn the hot shower on for a couple of minutes to give em that germinating in a tropical jungle type of setting...
