yeah definitely dude, even after three days you notice a difference (for me anyway) People say that the whole tolerance thing isn't true, but i definitely think it is, at least psychologically anyway. If you take two weeks off, you'll be golden. Good luck bro, hope you clear your head during your break and prepare to get super stoned in two weeks!

yeah you've never heard of that? I mean thats what i've gathered from posts here in the past. I mean its not suppose to cause a physical addiction, i mean it's not like there's nicotine in it or something. I agree with that, sounds about right to me, but I definitely believe there's some sort of psychological addiction that may form and cause the effects to diminish amirite? I'm pretty stoned right now so im just rambling. heh

I'm pretty sure its nothing to do with addiction, just the amount of thc in your system building up or something..eh dunno really

I'm a big advocate of being able to enjoy the "sober" life and the high life. Certainly, for me, doing that enables me to enjoy both lifestyles more then if I just stuck to one or the other all the time.

I don't mean to judge anyone; I can only speak from my own personal experience. But if I smoke *any* amount everyday (much less 3 grams a day) I build up a tolerance that is immediately noticeable. If I make sure to take at least a day or two off in between "smoking days", then my high's are always quite a bit more noticeable and very enjoyable. If I smoke every day the effects aren't as noticeable to me, and the high is not as "strong".

This is probably b/c THC has lingering effects that can last 24 hours or more (at least for me). Not terribly strong effects... but they do tend to linger in the form of a more laid back attitude, relaxed state of mind, etc. If you smoke every day, then each session bleeds into the next and you forget what it is like to be stone cold sober. Then, because of that, you forget what it is like to be totally high. It is sort of like how you can't have hot without cold, happy without sad, etc.

If I were you, I'd reduce the intake. If you are using that much for a medical condition, then that's a different story. But if your medical needs allow for less use, then you might benefit from toning it down a bit.

Take a couple weeks off, and then try every other day (at the most) and I think you would be better off. Again though... to each his own. Everyone probably reacts to the Herb differently. I'm just relating my own experience with it.

i am in full support of taking a few days or weeks off to regain your "video-game-highs". i myself booked a 3-month break for job interviews, smoked for a few weekends, and am back on my break (unwillingly lol).

I would like to offer some precautionary advice, though. if you take two days, two weeks, or even two months off, and then begin smoking heavily again, your first few days will be quite awesome and you'll feel like your in that video game of yours. but continue to smoke like that and you'll be right back at square one. I think there is probably something where your body kind of "remembers" it's tolerance. At least for me, I know that I took this past March off, and the first couple sessions blew me away. But after making up for all the lost smoking time - which is what you'd tend to do after abstaining for that long - it felt as if I hadn't taken a break at all.

Sorry to be long-winded, just want you to really be sure you're making your break COUNT!

Thats why i only smoke on weekends so i dont have a really high tolerance. I like to stay sober during college and work days, it also saves cash. But im also on a break cause i gotta get a real job, it sucks.

What works with me is, if i only smoke in the evenings.
That helps keep the tolerance down so you still get stonned.
Ive been doing this for a while now and I find it helps me get off my arse and
do more(not that it does with everyone).

lol hate to break it, but if you're smoking at all you aren't taking a break from it lol silly :D but the GOOD news is, if you only smoked a bowl and not like a fistfull of blunts (omg how good does a blunt sound right now) your tolerance won't be that much affected. so you could go a couple more days and still kinda be low.

smoking once in a while, as opposed to heavy smoking, kind of relieves you of having to worry about tolerance, because you aren't constantly supplimenting yourself with it. then again, once in a while for some might be one bowl every night after work. for others it might be once a weekend or something.

It will help, but as I have found your tolerance returns really quickly.

I do waterfalls my tolerance is extremely high, quit and just came back to doing same amount of hits a few weeks later.. 6-8 per smoke session

anyone who says tolerance does not exist is a moron--not that any of us on this website are morons. it's a proven fact that our bodies build tolerance against drugs, among other things.

for example, a flu vaccine is just a small amount of the influenza virus injected into a person's bloodstream. the amount of the virus is so small that our bodies can effectively eliminate the virus, while building TOLERANCE to it. This prevents further symptoms when a person comes in contact with a full-blown influenza virus, it helps us to build immunity to the virus.

the body's defense mechanism is tolerance. THC doesn't naturally form in our brains. As we put the chemical into our body more and more, our body becomes more and more effective in removing, breaking down, and metabolizing the drug.

in my experience, the first smoke of the day is the strongest. why? becasue even sleeping is like taking a 8 hour (or in my case, a 12 hour) tolerance break :)

also, in my experience, i don't get that much more stoned if i smoke 2 joints in a row compared to 1 joint.
