Sorry for posting this in two seperate places, I wasn't sure where it was meant to go....

I have three plants and after some close examination today I beleive I have a male (or hermi at least).

Since this is my first grow I wanted to check with you guys before I destroy it (which will be a sad task, it's about 5 foot high and so thick and full I cant even see the main stem, unlike my 2 definate females). I tried taking photo's but my camera phones so bad I wont even waste your time with those pics. Hopefully a description and a (bad) diagram will be enough.

The seed's were some crappy random seeds a mate found in his weed that he decided to plant and they all took amazingly. He couldnt be bother with the upkeep so I offered to take them off his hands when they were about 6 weeks old.

They've been on 12/12 for a week and a half/2 weeks, and while the two females showed signs early the offending plant was really slow to show (I assumed it was because it was so much bigger so it would take more energy).

Over the space of a couple of days flowers have appeared but they appear more wheat-like than wispy. They're not exactly balls, and everything's compact, not dangling, but they're definatly very different to the other two plants flowers. They have 1 or 2 wispy white hairs per flower, but nothing like the unrulyness of the females.

Now, what I need to know from you good people is...

1. Are my fears that it's a male correct?
2. If so, what are the chances it's already ruined my females?
3. Instead of just plain destroying it is there anything I can do? Like cook it or cure it for smoke?
4. Is there much chance is could be a female and it's just reacting differently? It doesn't look like a lot of male & hermi pics I've looked at, but as I've said, it's very different to the other two plants. If there's still a small chance it's female I'll try and find a way to take a good picture (even if I have to trim off a node and stick it under my scanner :wtf: )

Thank you! :rastasmoke:

Sounds lik a male but without an actual picture it hard to diagnose.. Sounds like a male since it is much larger than the others, small clusters of grain-like growths. However, the large size could just be due to a different phenotype of the strain but the grainlike clusters lead meto believe it is male and i'd rip it right away. It probably hasn't released polen yet only being 2 weeks into flower but id take it out asap not to risk it.

not much you can do with it maybe make butter out of it but it would be low quality and probably not even worth it.

did you draw the picture? cuz if that is what it looks like im 95% sure its male and id rip itdown right now... its a disappointment i know but get like 4 clones from the females and you wont have to worry about this next time.

oh and those two little hairs at each branch arent actualy hairs they are part of the stem i forget what they are called tho but they tended to stick out from the branch

Thank's for the reply.

Sorry, no photos. I just tried to transfer my blury phone pics to the computer but I appear to have lost my bluetooth dongle.

After spending the past hour comparing them to photos I've found I think you're right. I guess I'll kill it just to be sure. Nevermind, at least I have the other two (although they've both had a lot of nutrient problems, unlike the male which was strong and green right from the seed).

I'll try the cannabutter thing. I guess the worst that can happen is I'll have some normal cookies :)
