Florida Rep. Alcee Hastings on Wednesday warned two minority groups to beware of Sarah Palin because "anybody toting guns and stripping moose don't care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks."
Hastings, who is black and a Democrat, made the comment in Florida at a panel discussion hosted by the National Jewish Democratic Council. The group recently criticized Palin's invitation to an anti-Iran rally held during Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinajad's visit to New York to speak before the U.N. General Assembly.
Hastings was explaining what he intended to tell his Jewish constituents about the presidential race.
"If Sarah Palin isn't enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention," Hastings told the audience, which burst into laughter and applause, according to individuals present.
Palin spokeswoman Maria Comella declined to comment. The Republican Jewish Coalition strongly condemned Hastings' statements.

Lol I hope it's not a joke, I think it's actually a pretty valid concern. This woman is off her rocker. She's shown herself to be a LITTLE bit reformer, but largely a pretty typical arch-conservative, which is the enemy of the black community, mostly. Not sure where the jews stand. I dunno why'd theyd knock her for being invited to something though, I mean she didn't invite herself. I think he's right though, if Sarah Palin isn't reason enough to vote for Obama, I cant think of a better one. Palin is the best thing that ever happened to the Obama camp, lol.

I agree. I've heard that republicans are calling for her to resign the campaign because she's crippling McCain's campaign. People are starting to realize that she's not much more than someone who was supposed to get the women who wanted Hillary and make the McCain campaign easier on the eyes.
I agree with the people above. If John McCain punts out in office (which he has a fair chance of doing. Hell, he has melanoma for God's sake!) and Palin ends up president, I'm fucking leaving.
Only so much bullshit I can deal with.

I don't like Sarah Palin at all, but this was a stupid, hateful, and ridiculous thing to say.

Yeah, it's such a terrible thing to say about somebody like Sarah Palin. :D
Personal attacks on members isn't allowed in here but what is there to say when people do this to themselves? Have at it Billionfold...you'll never get another response from me in this forum again aside from moderating.
I recently had a friend of over 8 years, a hard core dem, state that he couldn't bring himself to vote for that "n". I told him that I hoped he'd keep his racist ass to home because nobody needed his vote. Haven't spoke to the assclown since.

This reminds of that Black Congress Women that slapped a capitol police officer for doing his job! and then hid behind the race card. I can't remember her name but she was voted out the next primary election. Bet the same happens here.
People that will say anything to get a vote or God Forbid believe actually what they said ( like this situation ) do not belong in our government no matter what party.

Like P4B said...just another assclown in a world full of them. What she said was hateful but I still would be scared of Palin either way. Jew, black, hispanic, etc... Now if she is saying this because she wants people to vote for Obama by getting over the race card, I can understand where the words are coming from, but they weren't said professionally. But then again from a comedic view, some find that funny. In this case I don't think it's funny like "racist" humor such as Chapelle's or Mooney. All this being said I hate all 4 of the dumbasses who have a chance at basically ruling the land of the free, haha.
