Hey guys, I'm new here and looking for some good advice. I recently got two plants from a girl I know and she entrusted me to at least try to make them grow and bud a bit. I figured it would be fun except for the fact that i'm a complete noob at this.

I took a few pictures of it and the bulb I am using right now. I went around my house looking for the fattest bulb I could find to help feed the plant but I'm wondering if it is enough. Maybe you guys can help me figure a couple things out, that would be great. Also, the bottom leaves looks very sad. They still retain a normal color but they are starting to look sickly in their shape. Take a look.

Also, I'm pointing out that I am NOT using any nutrients at the moment. <--- It might be a bad call but I'm using miracle grow soil or some crap, some really high quality soil I stole from my mom when she was out of her house =]. She grows plants as a hobby (not marijuana)

I am growing them in a closet that is around 4 feet by 5 feet. Completely painted white.

I make sure I sit the sink water to evaporate the nasties and I give it a minuscule amount of hydrogen peroxide.

Another thing, when should the light be on at this phase? 24/0? 12/12?

Any other observations?

Feel free to yell at me if I'm really doing something bad.

i highly recommend reading this link first

http://boards.cannabis.com/basic-growing/127522-simple-noob-instructions-growin-da-dankness.html

but first of all i want to point out that using any old kind of light bulb wont grow plants. you need a HID light or at least fluorescent/cfl lighting. not flood light bulbs. and by the tell of your plant is in flowering so i would put it under 12/12 lighting.

THank you.

And yeah, i have indeed read most of the guides here, but i still have questions.

Also, all the guides speak with abbreviations and knowledge that i'm assumed to know, but I don't.

from reading what your doing you should specify to us what kind/brand of soil your using. did you change that light? if it is a incandescent grow light you should still change it cause it doesn't provide enough lumens and another problem is environmental heat issues. also did you add perlite to your soil? it looks like white little rocks or in some cheap soils it looks like styrofoam. if you dont have enough perlite you could be suffocating your roots causing it to wilt like that also. do you have proper ventilation and a fan circulating the air in your grow area? those are some basics you should look into. to get some brief knowledge and if some terms on this forum is too new to you, you should search "cultivation marijuana" in youtube or "Jorge Cervantes". those videos help alot. you can also download them off the net. Jorge Cervantes - Ultimate Grow is a great vid.

Looking at other folks' grow logs is also a good way to learn.

As a starting point, I would look into (the proper spectrum) CFL's at the very least. CFL's are available at WalMart in both of the spectrums you'll need.
You'll need to learn the difference between vegetative stage and flower stage. The ladies will need different nutes and lights for the two stages.

Finding a good potting soil and quality nutes is the second thing I'd look into. Miracle Grow soil is ok, just keep in mind it already has about a month's worth of nutes in it. (for future reference...the nutes in MG will make it tough to start clones and seeds)
Any online hydro store will show you what nutes are available. A three part 'system' is likely best for you. They will take you from seedling to harvest. A three part 'system' has three bottles. One for vegetative stage, one for bloom stage, and one bottle of the micronutes they'll need throughout.
Personally, I use the 3 part Fox Farms (Grow Big, Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom) or Botanicare TriFlex.

Why are you adding H2O2?

I'm adding H2O2 to help get enough oxigen to the plants roots. I figured it would help keeping them healthy and not suffocating.

More holes in the pots, even in the sides, will do the same thing MUCH better!
You gotta get some REAL light in there, like a few big ass CFLs!!!
