So i'm in first week preparation of setting up a small grow in a window box. The space (which will be a lumber frame, lined internally with panda (black and white plastic sheet) is roughly 5' x 3' x 5'.

I was thinking of split this space in half ( 2 - 2.5' x 3' x 5' spaces) and using 4 bank t5's in each room (all 5600k in the veg room, and 3000k in the flower room) with a max output of 8000 lumen (4 bulbs @ 2000 lumen each).

Will this be enough light juice for the SCROG process i'm trying?

I've heard estimates about 50 w per sq/ft, and read the thread "Answers about CFL, HPS How much Light (http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-lighting/140735-answers-about-cfl-hps-how-much-light.html)" (link provided) where optimal growth occurs around 5000 lumens/sq ft.

I figure the area of my room is:
2.5 x 3 = 7.5 ft/sq

So to get the maximum benefit i would need

7.5 ft/sq x 5000 lumen = 37 500 lumen

but my 4 banks of my NewWave HO T5's is only 8000 lumen? Does any one have experiencing flowering with T5's, and what was your final bud quality?

Thanks!

i should mention these 4 banks carry the 2ft bulbs... not the 4ft.
