Hi. My female plants are 6 weeks into flowering and 1 of them has become a hermie. It is mostly female but clearly has formed male balls on the lower buds. The balls have underdeveloped seeds in them. It has only happened to the one plant, the others are fine. The male parts are much more dominent on the lower parts of the plant. Should I separate this one plant or has it already passed the dangerous pollinating stage as it has developed seeds? Please help, I only have a few weeks to go and don't want to dispose of this plant if I don't need to.

your hermie is perfectly fine for smoking, just keep a VERY watchful eye, that it doesn't develop more male flowers, to 'infect' your others ... if it is a good strain, you can let the seeds develop, have them for future planting (but not breeding), it's up to you ... it's also possible, you are looking at swollen calyxes, (not developing seeds), but those usually appear first, higher up on the plant ... good luck

Thanks very much for such a quick reply. You have given me hope although I know in my heart it is starting to go male. None of the other plants have these balls at all. I am going to try Gold reverse nutrient which I have seen recommended on this site. Please can you look at the attached photos and give my your opinion. I could email them to you if the quality is not all that via a site. Thanks again.

hey cllewtta i'm having the same problem i had one female plant (5 weeks into flower) and she turned hermie on me, i know the clones i took will probably be hermies also but if i get seeds from this female will the seeds also turn out to be hermie?
it sucks it was a beauty of a kush plant , i wonder if there is some way of keeping the strain alive.
also i have a young 1 month old hawaian snow fem. and some seedlings, JTR and blue cheese fem, in contact with the hermie could pollon affect them at such a young stage and if so can i fix it, (maybe wash them?).
thanks in advance everyone
