title says it all. I've got these 150 watt HPS bulbs which they were giving away at my work for FREE between the hours of 1 a.m. - 6 a.m. in a locked storage room! can you believe it? i can't believe no one else grabbed em...anyway, I've got a ballast designed to support my 1000 watt hps at home, and was wondering if i could simply screw these 150's in instead. this would be great for rooting my clones, which i plan on doing shortly. from what i understand a 1000 watt bulb will be too strong (and not to mention too energy consumptive), but i imagine a 150 will do the trick, no? thanks.

1000 watt bulbs = 1000 watt ballasts, only

150 watt bulbs = 150 watt ballasts, only

150 watt bulb + 1000 watt ballast = boom
