I just want to suggest the possibility of a fishing/hunting category on the hobby lounge. I'd appreciate if someone in the position to do so would contact whoever makes these decisions with the request. I'm a fisherman that goes on many trips every year. I have many stories/pictures to share that i do share on a fishing forum. I'd like to have a place to put it on this site. I'm sure there are many other outdoors-men on this site that would love to contribute...I've seen fishing threads more than a few times on this site.

We could use the fishing/hunting forum to make the rules and regulations on bag limits readily available to anyone that frequents this site. There are specific rules in fishing and hunting that keep these populations thriving. We need to make sure everyone follows the rules so 100 years from now everyone can experience what we can out on the lake. We could post stickies that promote catch and release. Only keep what is allowed by law and what you are going to eat.

For the moment, those types of threads should go in the travel and adventure room. I'm an avid fisherwoman myself and have even done my time in Dutch Harbor AK! Now THAT was an adventure!

Isn't opening day of hunting season like... any moment now?

I love to fish and hunt also and yes hunting season begins in most places the 1st of October.

It is also the time that hunters start stumbling onto our outdoor crops. So if you do run into one " Remember the Grower's and Smoker's code of ethics" and Just Walk Away. Don't be a Moron and think you just hit the Jackpot.

Also for you outdoor growers keep this in mind and make sure your plants are well hidden because great growing spots are also great hunting spots.

Amen to that bro... I noticed a car parked about a mile from my spot. I was praying that they did not come up the mountain my way :) I still have 7 girls out there :)

My Dad was a HUGE Hunter/Fisherman and he taught me the same. I have his 12 point white tail and his first black bear in my house too. The fish of his are still at my Mom's house. I treasure his guns, bowe and fishing equipment with the most respect I can. Because of him I'm a NRA member.

Hunting season for Deer starts in October I believe.

Its' dove hunting season here, right now. I am sure in the great mid-west they need bow hunting season for buck and doe about now! Lately, I am flat out rattlesnake hunting, the little buzzards.

Guess we need to move to travel and adventure.

I/R: don't give up, this could be your season!!

Rebgirl, how nice to surround yourself with such warm fuzzy things! I jealous! pr
